TAROT STRAIGHT UP: WHAT TO DO WITH A DECK THAT HAS BAD ENERGY i got a question that popped up in my dm yesterday that i feel i need to address publicly, as i've received similar questions in the past, but in different contexts.⁠ ⁠ QUESTION: "I bought a tarot deck in a voodoo shop in new orleans and i'm not sure if it has bad energy. i placed it on my to window to cleanse it but since i've put it there things have been falling off the shelf. do you think i should get rid of it? or what's your advice? thank-you!"⁠ ⁠ ADVICE: when i read the question, i travelled back in time to when i got my first deck. . .and the question that came to my mind is "are you ready?"⁠ ⁠ honestly, i wasn't ready when i got my first deck and had all sorts of fears associated with the tarot. . .because I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THE TAROT WAS. i highly recommend educating yourself about common misconceptions associated with the tarot, as that is what helped me get over my fears.⁠ ⁠ the other thing that i want to address is a deck having bad energy. in my opinion, decks don't have positive or negative vibes unless a person has assigned a certain vibration ⁠or has certain memories associated with the deck. the tarot will mirror back to you what you are projecting. i recommend digging deep to figure out why you feel the deck has "bad energy." ⁠ ⁠ lastly, the items falling off the shelf could be your intuition opening up. . .and nothing negative. you'll need to explore further what is causing that, as the two could potentially not be mutually exclusive. ⁠ ⁠ i can't tell you to get keep or get rid of the deck, as that decision is ultimately up to you. . .but i do feel that you need to explore further what the deck is bringing up for you. ⁠ ⁠ i do recommend cleansing and doing a welcoming ceremony for your deck to shift the energy, so you can connect with it. ⁠you can also check out my highlight: tarot tips for information about common tarot misconceptions and ways to cleanse your deck.⁠ ⁠ if you have a tarot question, send me a dm.⁠ ⁠
