- QUICK THOUGHT OF THE DAY - Being scared of our goals is normal. It means that they’re big enough to make us question whether we should go for that road or just be more reasonable. We think we’re not capable, not smart enough, not strong enough. We think we might get lost along the way, and end up failing miserably. However, not trying to pursue that goal can become our biggest regret, and we know that, because that’s why we hesitate so much. So how do we choose? How can we make it less scary? Imagine if the road towards your goal was all rainbows and unicorns and without any kind of struggle. Try, just for one moment, to ignore all the long work hours, all the problems that may arise and all the possibly negative scenarios. Would you now go for that goal without hesitation? If the answer is yes, then go for it ! If you’re still hesitant, try to think back to all the times you did something you thought you couldn’t. Think back to how it felt and how proud you were of yourself! Do you feel more confident now? Also, remember that most of the time, achieving goals is just the cherry on top and that what matters is what you’ve learned along the way. You may even be surprised of how things turn out ! Later on my studies I figured out that my grades in this subject depended a lot on the professor that was teaching it. You don’t need to compare yourself to people that seems doing better than you. Most of the time you make your own opinion about someone based on what he says and what he decides to show you. This is especially true on social media, as we all show the best parts of our lives. We choose what we want others to see, we choose the best light, angles and caption so that everyone have access to the best side of us. And I do exactly the same when I post pictures of my desk, of my smiling face at the end of a long day or when I write these “inspiring” captions. I receive tons of DM’s from people asking me how I stay motivated and organised but you have to understand that I’m not like that all the time! Most of the time I’m just like everyone else, trying to figure out life and having lots of bad and average days ‍♀️ Remember that we live in our heads 99% of the time and we tend to judge ourselves in such a hard way that we think everyone else see us the same as we view ourselves, when most of the time people either don’t care or just don’t give it that much importance. So let’s focus only on improving ourselves and look back to all the progress we made till now. Let’s put aside our ego and be open to constructive criticism. Let’s try, once and for all, to consider all the good things we did for ourselves in the last few weeks!
