We played hard and built tree forts and I don’t think I’ve ever seen Locke so dirty, which obviously means he was enjoying himself • When Caleb works his long weeks, I mostly feel like doing nothing to rock the boat and keeping everyone on schedule so I don’t get overwhelmed ‍♀️ But I’m trying hard to still make memories with the kids when dad is away at work and it’s just us. • What fun things do you do with your kids when it’s just you and them? Here’s me decoding all the BS pregnancy myths that I have been hearing and laying it out for you. 1. Pregnancy is not a condition- It’s the most natural thing in the world for a woman of child bearing age to be!! You are not sick. You are normal (or as normal as you were before you got knocked up . 2. Work- For the love of God don’t think pregnancy = bed rest!! Au contraire. Work to keep your mind and body agile, to keep yourself happy and occupied. Barring special medical conditions, most normal pregnant ladies can work right till the last week of due date. ‍‍ . 3. Eat for two- NOOOOO. You don’t need to cram yourself with food just coz you are pregnant. You certainly don’t need to eat for two. All you need is 2200-2400 calories per day. Instead focus on small, healthy meals that’s balanced. . 4. Don’t exercise. Don’t climb stairs. Don’t drive . Don’t. Don’t . Don’t. Ufffffffff. Ugh. Major Do everything that you have been doing, only with more caution and care. Definitely exercise!! Don’t lift weights obviously but walking, prenatal aerobics and yoga YES!! Your best friend in fact. ‍♀️ ‍♀️ . 5. Behave as though you need help all the time - Really we don’t. Pregnant women are just as capable of doing almost everything as before. We will ask for help when we need it.Until then pls don’t expect us to sit on our butts, eat and sleep all day and day dream. . Nope. That’s 9 months of your life wasted!! Instead live the pregnancy to its fullest. Enjoy, love your changing body, be happy and active, mentally and physically. You are totally normal. Well guys, we finally did it. We made it to our new home in Illinois and man has this week been one I won't forget but do not want to redo anytime soon. • I drove 1,500 miles with both of the girls while Ryan towed our Uhaul and animals. I realized that moms are the best multitaskers ever. Not only could I drive, but I could hand out snacks, find a book, answer a million questions while still driving safely. I also learned I still remember every single Backstreet Boys lyric. SO yeah..I'm still cool. • I also learned that Texas has no rest stops and the strangest merge lanes ever. • Oklahoma is living in the 1990's. We got kicked off their turnpike because we didn't have exact change or cash. Like cmon let me Venmo, Paypal, or send you the money electronically!!! We survived though and it was quite hilarious. • In the state of Missouri, you can visit Uranus, which ironically is a FUDGE factory. Guys, I am not making this up. There are signs everywhere for it. I guess in Missouri people like to eat Uranus Fudge. • Illinois loves rain. It has rained almost every day since we have arrived and my girls are so happy.
