Trying something new... homemade inks/ watercolour paints. So far I’ve used red and brown onion skins and marigold flowers. It’s basically the same as making a dye bath but you use less water, in order to get a more concentrated liquid. You can paint with it as is, or add a binder such as gum arabic to get a more painterly consistency. I don’t know why it took me so long to try this, but I’m definitely hooked! More to come!
