Something that I’ve noticed about this community is that it’s changed so much since I joined it a few years back. It used to be a fun outlet where we can go to express our animal sides and be ourselves. But now it’s become such a closed group of people that almost shun or look down on others and newer members. What happened to the fun in this community? The animal sounds videos, the “wolf-running” videos and tutorials, packs that were just happy and goofed around together. What happened to that carefree nature? I understand that there has been a massive onslaught of misinformation being spread, but why is everyone so quick to judge each other? We are all therians and Otherkin simply trying to figure ourselves out and learn.. So why ostracize each other like this? If we can’t even be ourselves freely without the fear of being harassed or judged, then what with this community become?... If I’m going to be honest... this community is nowhere near as fun to be in as it used to be. We are by no means leaving the community, but it saddens me to see how dull and boring we’ve all become. Please stop judging new members. Instead, try to teach them the correct information! Please stop attacking other people for simply trying to correct you or maybe getting something wrong. Nobody is perfect, and no one will get everything right on the first try. If you’re scared of being judged or bullied by non-therians, don’t be! Go wolf-run in your backyard, or your local park! Go make an animal sounds tutorial! Don’t be afraid of the weird looks, or the comments you might get because, in the end, NONE of their opinions matter! As long as YOU know who YOU are, nothing else matters. Physical shifting - Just before I continue on with this post I just want to say this is my thoughts on P-Shifting. Feel free to comment your thoughts on this topic, I'm always super Interested in seeing people's opinions. P shifting or what's known as Physical shifting is when a person is able to physically transform into their kintypes or as an animal. As amazing as this would be this is impossible, the idea itself is incredible how the body would be able to transform into an animal. However the amount of strain on your heart would end up killing you, your bones and organs having to shift around your body would not end too well. I would love to become a wolf but the idea is too far stretched but, I am thankful for being able to be a therian. Let's just leave Physical shifting to the movies. How do you guys feel about gear? Do you think it's a necessity? - I believe that gear doesn't define you as a Therian, I wear gear to feel more comfortable and connected to my Theriotype but I can still express myself in a day to day life without gear.
