There isn’t hardly any information on Tiktok about Therianthropy. Only videos of kids including me running around on all fours. I’ve thought of removing, “Therian” from my bio as I’ve seen a lot of accounts pop up and posting quadrobics videos.. which is great! I enjoy seeing them. I know it isn’t exactly harmful but it can be annoying and I agree 100% it gives the wrong idea about Therianthropy. I feel guilty sometimes but know I shouldn’t because I’m aware of the community and what it is.. so why am I stressing about what others post? Wether or not they educate themselves is on them. Not me? I’m aware quadrobics has little to do with Therianthropy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⇾ I get uneasy when I get messages around, “can you check out my Therian account?” Because again.. why call it a Therian account? Why not just call it quadrobic account? My entire account is quadrobics and me expressing my animal side and I bully myself so much about wether or not I should remove Therian from my bio. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⇾ I don’t mind accounts but I can’t help but be offended and worried for the community when I see them pop up daily. Unaware if they are actually educated in Therianthropy or not. This topic is very debatable. Naming theriotypes isn’t accepted by some while others it is. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⇾ for example, I refer to my theriotype as unwanted. Is that it’s real name? No, it would be my actual name. I call it unwanted because it’s easier to talk about and I prefer it. I’m completely aware that it isn’t a separate part of me. I feel that if members are aware of this. That is fine.. but since this isn’t accepted by everyone, you might get questioned and grilled. Therefor be open to that! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⇾ If you say you were once in a pack (which ranks aren’t a thing. ⠀⠀⠀ 『Romanticizing wolves』⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⇾ Wolves have been featured in a number of shows and movies. A good example would be “wolf town” if you haven’t seen it. It’s about a group of kids who stumble into this old ruined town which is owned by a wolf pack who attempts to kill these teens. Realistically, wolves wouldn’t do that. Wolves are afraid of us. They’ve developed the tendency to avoid us. Wolf attacks are rare.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⇾ As cool as it sounds to be this cool, unstoppable fearless beast. Wolves aren’t at all what a majority of movies//shows feature them to be in the wild. Wolves are beautiful creatures and they get romanticized way toooo much and give Therians the wrong idea on them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⇾ I’ve seen way toooo many Therians make the wolf more appealing in a unrealistic fashion and it does get quite annoying. They aren’t vicious creatures. They have a lifestyle we don’t really show on Tv. I suggest watching documentaries instead of sticking to twilight. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⇾ As for people with a wolf theriotype. You aren’t superior to others or more valid in the community. You are equal just like the rest of us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⇾ I’ve mistaken my theriotype for a wolf at first but as I studied and learned more, I realized who I was. This is a common mistake with many newer Therians because the wolf is the most romanticized animal on Tv. Overall, please do your research on the wolf before confirming. This animal is beautiful and going with it because it’s ‘edgy’ or ‘cool’ isn’t why you should go with it. The animal isn’t edgy. That’s what the Internet makes of it.
