Tomorrow is the day we begin gutting the bus! Its time for the foul dusty carpet and dodgy kitchen cupboards to come out. Getting it completely emptied will help us figure out a floor plan. The world is a big place. The best education we can provide for our children at this time is showing them the world and how other people live. We’ve broken out of our “bubble” and yes it was scary. People have told us that we are crazy for traveling with two toddlers and that we must come back someday kid free! Yes traveling with little ones is a completely different experience. Traveling with kids is... great? Honestly, on the pictures it looks way easier than it is! We found that with the first baby it was nice and easy, yes. When baby number 1 started to walk and became a toddler, not that much. When baby number 2 arrived while number 1 was still a toddler - THAT was a game changer! Even now, with a 3 year old and a 1,5 year old we are struggling. I feel that when they attend kindergarten, they can do whatever. Now we constantly have to say no. No to going alone in the water, no to staying in the sun for too long, no, no, no.. When you travel, you don’t have that „save“ infrastructure. They say choose your battles but everyday is a constant battle. It sometimes is frustrating for both - kids and parents. So is traveling with kids great? Yes!! It makes you grow together as a family much more spending such intense time together. I also feel that (almost) everyone we meet, as soon as they see we have those little monsters becomes more friendly and pays more attention. What is your experience when traveling with kids?
