Our Hollie ring. Named after the girl who inspired this design. She loved our Campbell engagement ring, but her fiancé and I came up with this alternative: where the band sweeps across the curve of the pear instead of the tip of the pear diamond. It still remains one of our favourites.

So a while ago, I posted about a ring I had made for myself out of my mum's old ring that she gave me when I was younger. I used the stones out of it and held on to the gold for a future project. Well here is what I have done with the gold from my mum's ring! This is to date the best piece of jewellery I have every made. I've been really struggling with Moonsalt for a while now, I've not enjoyed making anything and I had completely lost my spark, the simplest of tasks were just going wrong and I was worried that my passion for jewellery making had gone. Luckily I have found it again with this piece, I enjoyed every element of making this ring and I had a huge grin on my face when I admired the finished result. It features a green amethyst as green is my favourite colour . A massive thank you to @sophie.cunliffe.jeweller who provided her knowledge and expertise in helping me with the granulation technique. As I am predominantly self taught, it makes learning new techniques really difficult at times and being part of a society where other silversmiths and jewellers are willing to provide their knowledge and help other smithies out is just incredible .
