No comments needed. But............. Raw cabbage and the brain- your digestive system and the brain ...- eat life and research the microbiome. Raw, living fermented foods are super delicious and readily available - in fact - including a regular variety of them hasn’t been this easy for a long time - and is likely better than taking a probiotic/ prebiotic pill. My water kefir grains seemed to be bored and hadn't grown much in recent months with their typical sugar water and Medjool Date diet. They are still actively fermenting and making a nice two bottles worth every two days, but I decided to give them a little treat.
I'd read that to change things up a bit by putting them into pure coconut water with a little sugar can get them to liven up. Wow, was that an understatement! Look how active the fermentation is going after just 24 hours in coconut water. Curious how this batch will taste. I'll probably try switching back and forth between recipes for the coming month or so and see how it goes.
