I’m having the best time with this birthday babe on his 30th birthday trip! This holiday couldn’t have come at a better time too. Heading back to NYC now with a full heart. Two summers ago (around this time), I landed in #OmahaNE and met @christians_anderson on a summer contract. Getting to see iconic Mr. Christian make magic and to see all his friends made me EMOTIONAL!!! I am so proud of him, and it was amazing to see Goofy as well. He seems to have an extra spring in his step these days and there is no doubt in my mind that perhaps one day Goofy will send his son to the Rose Theater to get some quality training ;). A little(big) appreciation post today because I am feeling very down yet super grateful. Not sure if you all know but Luis here has been working for TSA for 8 years now. He has experienced a lot in his field of work but nothing like today. Today, my heart fell out of my chest when we thought Orlando Airport was attacked. Luckily, it wasn’t a bomb or a threat towards anyone. However, it was a suicide. I have been worried sick all day wondering what was going on as I couldn’t talk to him or find any information. I am so saddened by what has happened to one of his co-workers but I am SO grateful that it wasn’t an ongoing occurrence. I could not imagine my life as well as my children’s lives, without Luis in it. We have been through the most difficult of times throughout our relationship but I wouldn’t be who I am today without his guidance. Luis, if you see this, thank you so much for being the man that you are to me and our children. For your courage and bravery today while dealing with all that’s happened. I love you and will never take our family for granted. Suicide is a serious thing and I know from experience that the thoughts can be extremely hard to break. I am in tears about this because it hit so close to home and I definitely feel the pain. If anyone you know is experiencing depression, please reach out to them and let them know they are loved and not alone. Even if you think someone is okay, they may just not be, so please share love wherever you go. If you are that person, please seek help. There are so many resources and people willing to help-including myself. If you need someone to talk to, please reach out to me and I will definitely do my best to help in any way that I can. If not, please call the suicide prevention hotline at 1-800-273-8255. They are there to help! I really hope this helps at the very least one person today.
