This was a selfie we took as we all went for a family walk to get the #NEAT up on the weekend. -
As you get to this stage, the cardio is higher sleep all over the place and ultimately I’m hangry hha.

But having the support of these 4 (@ellyhodgsonfitness Aoife-Mae, Niamh and Alfie) makes it that bit easier.

I’m coming in a little more each day, so I know I’m on the right track just gotta keep pushing on.

3 weeks 4 days to bring it in that bit more, and the support I get from my loved ones is what’s driving me at the moment- that and Pepsi Max cherry but I’ll be dropping that a couple of weeks out the. It’s gets tricky

Good Food vs Bad Food

Grilled Chicken Breast on my right. Grilled Pork Belly on my left.

Most of you may think that Pork is bad and chicken breast is good. I USED to think so too.

Now I DO NOT view food as GOOD and BAD . Instead, I view food as either NUTRIENT DENSE or CALORIE DENSE.

Let’s say for the same amount of Grilled Chicken breast and Grilled Pork Belly the CHICKEN will have more nutrients and less calories as opposed to the Grilled Pork Belly.

Does this mean that PORK is evil? Of course not! Both are just food that will be used by your body as energy. You just have to be MORE mindful of the calories in pork.

♂️ If you think something is bad then you will have a negative / unhealthy relationship with that something

At the end of the day it’s all about balance and mindful eating. When I coach my clients I ALLOW them to eat CALORIE DENSE FOOD as long as they prepare for it and they get most of their food from nutritious sources. Everything in MODERATION fam

A common MISTAKE I see a lot of people make when it comes to training biceps is that they simply swing their arms and let the momentum take the weight.

If you do this you let momentum carry the weight for you and not your actual bicep. AKA minimal gainz made.

This could be caused by using weights that are TOO HEAVY. Do not focus on heavier weights when you can’t properly perform the movement or when you don’t have proper form.

Instead, focus on the mind muscle connection. Take your time, when it comes to working your biceps. SLOW and CONTROLLED is the way to go.

When performing bicep curls keep your core tight and focus on controlling the weight every curl. Remember that FORM + QUALITY > WEIGHT

Pro tip: Try to internally rotate the dumbbell (twist pinky inward) at the peak of the curl for maximum activation
