Springbank 24 Year Old (Fresh Sherry Hogshead) Single Cask, 46.2% - 294 bottles . When I first heard about this highly anticipated bottle back in April I suspected it would be special, but I didn’t think I’d have a shot at it. It’s the oldest Springbank OB sherry single cask released since I don’t know when, and as such there’d be crazy demand for it. Well, I got ridiculously lucky. . As I pulled up to a stop light the morning of May 1st, I happened to look down at my phone as a text came in. It was a new product alert for this bottle? I couldn’t believe it! I quickly clicked through and there it was. The luck! . Usually when I order from overseas I try to add a second bottle to save on shipping. After adding the Springer to the cart I considered looking for an add on but quickly decided against it and went to check out. I had the feeling I couldn’t waste even seconds putzing around. Turns out I was right. . When the traffic light turned green I had just completed my order. As I drove off I immediately went back to the product page and that was that - it was gone, sold out in one minute flat! . As I had to ship it to Japan, since ordering I’ve had a chance to read some reviews of it. All have been very positive. I’ve even seen it referred to as the best SB released in years! Luck was definitely on my side this time. . As far as online ordering goes, this was pretty exciting... definitely got the heart racing a bit. The adrenaline was flowing. Maybe I need more exercise.
