But since there’s only 1 day in the entire year dedicated to celebrating physicians, I couldn’t let this one slide. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s only been around 6 months since I graduated from Medical School and turned down my first job as a doctor in London to move to America, so I’m quite literally at the beginning of my journey. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But I feel incredibly fortunate to have so many doctors around me who inspire me to keep going, keep working hard, keep hustling. From my mother who is the first female doctor I ever knew, to my husband whose passion for his field inspires me on a daily basis, to all the accomplished doctors I’ve met via this platform who are constantly sharing their journey and wisdom with us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thank you all for your sacrifices, for your hard work, for your devotion. Thank you for being role models to not only newly graduated doctors like me, but to so many medical students and premeds who look up to you and dream of being in your position. You all definitely deserve more than a day to celebrate all the good that you do! Happy Doctor’s Day!
