I’ve learnt with working towards certain goals, personally, and in my career, it is almost impossible for me to get there when I don’t remove myself from toxic environments or people. ⁣ ⁣ If you’re in a position where you don’t feel you’ve got a cheer squad around you, I want to encourage you that YOU have ALL you need to accomplish your goals and reach those heights. ⁣ ⁣ Your belief in yourself, your self talk and self love is SO important. Who are you to stop yourself from growing, flourishing, and reaching things you thought were near impossible?⁣ ⁣ Yes. Encouragement is so lovely, so helpful and so desired, but it won’t always be there when it’s needed. Your faith, self belief and positive self talk can be what changes your life and let’s you reach those heights you thought were impossible or what hinders you from achieving all you ever wanted and were made to do. ⁣ ⁣ It may not be easy but I promise you when you start to believe that you have all that you need within to succeed you can and WILL get there! ⁣ ⁣ Be your own cheerleader!

I only wanted to come to this restaurant because I saw the soupy desserts and they sold the taro ball dessert that I’ve been craving and too lazy to make by myself. We ordered the duck livers, jajungmyeon, wontons in chili oil, and the grass jelly/taro balls. When we ordered water to drink we got water bottles with a real estate agent advertisement labeled across it....interesting I looked around and literally all the other customers had it as well. It’s strange because at a sit-down restaurant with a server serving you at your table I have never seen that in Canada. Moving on. 1) Wontons in chili oil - the most redeeming dish. The wontons were nice and the chili oil was spicy 2) Jajungmyeon - fried egg and cucumber side for the spicy mixed minced pork. It was so-so. You can get better somewhere else. 3) Taro ball/grass jelly dessert - the reason that I chose this place cause I saw on someone else’s Instagram that a place in Winnipeg sold it in a restaurant. There were 2-3 scoops of grass jelly, less than 8 balls, and the rest was filled with sago, black rice, and mini-mochi balls. The actual product I got compared to pictures I saw was pretty much one of those food memes: Expectations vs. Reality. Literally both visual and taste-wise, this was it. 4) Duck stomach — I’ve only ever had duck stomach from ordering off WeChat sellers in Winnipeg and in China. These were not that good. They weren’t as firm and were on the softer side of stomach.. Overall, nothing spectacular. I am willing to give another try for the desserts since they had a large variety that I wanted to try but that’s about it.
