Having a bad case of writers block for everything I sit down to work on. The settings not right; the talking’s too loud, I’m even annoyed the sun came out because I write better when it’s moody outside. But I’ll deal with it and push through cause I get to look at pictures of The Cotswolds all day for inspiration and try to find the words to describe how this place made me feel, through its sleepiness and quiet villages. The slow pace made it feel like there was no drama - exactly what I needed, but much harder for innovative and descriptive writing. . . (Check my stories for more of an explanation to this next bit) . . Somehow, my character has settled into a hamartia of the struggling artist. We all have inner things going on, and when I am able to write everything out, it all feels less like a cloud. When I gave my anxieties a name, I’m able to work with it; make friends with it, make them less daunting. Ironically, a lot like today, the weather can be gray but the sun still keeps poking its head out. It’s important to look for every silver lining, soak in every bit of sun and find things that will turn you around. We’re very complex creatures. We’re more than we put out on the internet, but we’re everything we put out into the world. It’s important to let ourselves feel the bad, but more important to find the light in it all. . Morning motivation.. DOn̶’t̶ q̶u̶IT. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We all go through the motions, and though energies have been on an all-time high with both universal & world events taking place outside of & within our beings.. it is simply Energy in motion that creates the flowing E-motions that seem to keep us stagnant. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Whether it fear, or loss of faith - in Self or our world - it is in our belief and courage we build our dreams. It is in the day to day, night after night, that our visions come to life and we bring to fruition all that we wish to be, see, and share.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To be honest, this message/graphic plays as a reminder & #notetoself as much as it serves as one for yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We all struggle, we all fail, we all wish to give up.. BUT! It is in our struggles that we find strength. It is in our perceived failures that we learn lessons and move one step closer to accomplishment. ALSO made mistakes, doubted themselves, and still - yet, they chose to do it anyways. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We are human, and though that means a lot of what we experience is not so pretty.. what we are working towards is always beautiful. And that's real magic. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The very essence of your being was born to create at will what you will.. if you solely believe and continue to work towards your dreams. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My vision is simple but grand. This morning I woke up before 6am because I had the case of the jetlags. It was the first time I was able to journal since leaving England and my goodness, there’s something really special about waking up to routine. Or, maybe it’s calmness. . . . . Being in the countryside with no immediate obligations, no where to be, nothing to do, changed the way I breathed. Each time I come back to New York, I can feel the change in energy, the impatience, the vibrations of other people’s stress, the guilt held by a choice of an extra course instead of a run, the balance of a stroll in the sun after yoga and the suppression of emotions to get through one more work day - and the way we get used to it all. . . . . . It’s important to find these places that help us breathe, center and reset so that we can get back to real life. It’s funny that in the past, I’ve always packed my vacations to not actually be vacations at all. I still want to see and do everything. And then when it’s been too long, do it again. But then, there’s another kind of satisfaction in finding a spot in the city where calmness is coaxing. A marble table and good soundtrack on a Tuesday afternoon when I can finally wear a sundress, taking a break from work to watch people as they walk by, imagine the lives they live and know there are so few places in the world people can come to and be exactly who they are. I don’t believe New York City is a place I can live forever, but the juxtaposition of the way we choose to live blows my mind sometimes.

here's to all those times when we feel robbed of ourselves, of our creativity, our ideas, our originality. To all those times when we feel hurt because some insecure person is trying to copy us. To all those moments in life that we are sick of trying, not because nobody appreciates it, but because we try so hard just for somebody to copy and win all the credit. To all those days we woke up not wanting to do anything, because there wasn't a single beam of hope for us. But here's to all those times, we recognized optimism. If we only remembered to change our perspective, of not looking at the incident where some one has imitated us, but looking at it, as we were an inspiration. We were something to look up to, an influence, a star. And for all those very reasons, they didnt give us credit for they feared what others would think about them and they would judge them, these people chose to admire and look up to us, because they saw hope in us, when we thought we were devoid of it. There's always someone in the dark, who we inspire, although we may not yet be aware of it. There's somebody always watching us carefully, and no they aren't stalkers or haters, rather just people aspiring to be as good as us
