“Be YOU always.”⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Over a month ago I was in Canada with my husband and I was talking to one of our friends about some changes and decisions that I felt the Lord calling me to. I was scared, fearful of what others may think and my friend looked over and said “Be YOU always”. Those words, so simple yet stuck with me ever since.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ This past week, I have also started sharing my journey with my hair. For so long I’ve been wanting to grow it out — yet I had tried just about anything on the market... and nothing worked until back in March when I switched to a nontoxic plant based company. It’s done WONDERS to my hair so I wanted to share about it to help others too. When I started to share this past week, all I could think was: “ oh my gosh people are going to think this is so weird, how can I talk about hair AND photography?” Or “people are going to think I’m so all over the place and can’t stick to one think” ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Here’s the thing: the lies started to creep up and I had two options. 1.) I could listen and give in and never share again — and not know what could come of it or see results from helping others. Or 2.) I could fight those lies. Remember that no matter what I decide to do there’s always going to be someone with an opinion but we are not here on this earth to listen to anyone’s opinion except what is TRUTH. Remember that it was placed on your heart for a reason & that it is impacting many lives. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So guess what, I chose option 2. Here’s the thing guys, if I share my passion of photography but don’t show you other parts of my life — you won’t truly know the real me. Everything that I do IS going to be intertwined because I can’t talk about photography but not talk about clean beauty & I can’t talk about those things without sharing my faith because they are all things I’m massively passionate about. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ All this to say: Those who truly support you will be here for you. Those who don’t, will leave. Chances are if they do, they’re not your people. And guess what? Don’t take it personally because ultimately at the end of the day — God is our #1 fan. That’s all that matters. BE YOU ALWAYS GIRL.

Contentment does not come with the “next big thing”. Contentment comes through Christ. Can I be vulnerable and honest for a sec? Too often I find myself dreaming and seeking contentment in the next thing instead of finding contentment in my current stage and season. God is showing me that contentment comes in Christ and can be found in any and every season in my life. In talking with friends about this, I’ve seen that I’m not the only one who struggles with this. So, in realization that we all might need this reminder, I wanted to post this reminder for you. Jesus is the bread of life. Bread is fulfilling, it takes away our hunger and takes care of our hunger need. Jesus and His words are fulfilling, they take away our hunger for something more and fill us with contentment. YOU CAN FIND CONTENTMENT NOW, INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR THAT NEXT BIG THING- you can go to Jesus and fill yourself up with His presence. Instead of looking to your next weight loss goal for contentment, look to Christ and allow His word to penetrate and fulfill you. Rather than waiting for a significant other to make you content, be fulfilled in Christ- spend time with Him and allow Him to fill you! Instead of waiting for accomplishments or successes to fulfill you, look to Jesus and be content in Him! In place of sadness over your hard season, find contentment and JOY in Christ. Situations don’t have to fulfill us, but Jesus always will.

Do you know how much your worth? All of heaven went bankrupt to have you. You are a constant delight in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. When you know how valuable you are it’s easy to shake off the lies of the world. If your coworkers say, your not smart enough for the promotion. You just shake it off that’s not what the father says about you. The Bible says if you need wisdom ask God and he will graciously give it to you. If your friends say, you’ll never beat that addiction, bad behavior you’ll always be that way. Shake it off the Bible says, we go from glory to glory! Our hearts are pure in the eyes of our father. ***Continued from the previous post*** * * * * By the time I was 40, I still had no husband at this point I was desperate, I started begging my friends and family to hook me up with any man available , unfortunately all the men I was introduced to had an agenda. I can’t tell you about men who duped me of thousands just because they knew that I was so desperate. When I was 41 , God answered my prayers I met a man who I can believe was God sent , seems like God had saved my own husband just for me. We got married the same year. Imagine? at the time when I was about to give up. I got married and I was full of joy. —————— By the time I was 43 , I had not conceived yet and the devil came back again to torment me. Telling me that I was too old to conceive. I became so sad and almost depressed. Sisters , God who never sleeps nor slumbers blessed us with a set of twins in Jan 2018. A boy and a girl I delivered at the age of 45 I am also pregnant and expecting another child as we speak at the age of 46. I believe I am a sister unveiled and I refused to believe the devil’s lies over my life. Behind the curtain of strong faith is a Christian who has experienced trials and have learned the lesson of perseverance. • The great faith we so desire is developed through the testing of it. It's built through training. It takes time and it's not dropped from the sky upon us. It's worked in us. • It never fails that when I look at someone and admire their firm faith in Christ, the curtain is pulled back. After walking with them for a little while, I realize again just how such a faith is developed. • When they had nothing, they learned to believe the Word. When they suffered a loss, they had to cling to Christ. When all of their plans failed, they took the next step with the Shepherd. When they were weak, they discovered abundant grace. • Through suffering, failed plains, sickness, and messiness...their faith grew in the Lord. They kept depending and the Object of their faith never failed! • Sister, behind the curtain of strong faith is a Christian who has experienced many trials and have learned the lesson of perseverance.
