Anyone else still a little frustrated by the lack of gf AND df party food? Or gf and something else? I know it’s hard to please everyone, but I feel like a eating loads of gf party food when Mark can’t eat much of it because of dairy!! First gluten free AND vegan find of 2019 - no chic’n nuggets from @marksandspencer (no onion or garlic either!) Who here is doing Veganuary this year? ‍♀️ Or trying to at least!! I wish I could give it a good go but... well, I’ll explain below in a sec The Plant Kitchen range is M&S’s new vegan range btw but sadly, there isn’t a HUGE crossover with gf... but these are a-ok . . So why no Veganuary for me? ⛔️ Well, there’s two reasons really. The first reason is because of the restrictions I have in my diet already - and I’m not just talking about gluten! It’s more the fact I can’t eat onion, garlic, mushrooms and quite a large proportion or fruit and veggies. I also struggle massively with beans, pulses and lentils. If anyone has any ideas of how I can combat this and be able to reduce my meat consumption more, whilst still getting protein that would be great - so please let me know The other day, I emailed a vegan place asking what I could eat with all my food intolerances and they said “sadly... nothing!” But I probably shouldn’t be surprised!! . Secondly, I’d really like to do Veganuary but I’m not sure being so strict on my food choices is the best thing for me, mentally But saying all that, I am intending to try my best to be more plant based from now on though and am really looking forward to it! I always say it and I mean it... I would be vegan if I could!!!
