Because I said I would be real with you so here is a REAL recipe post. Shows you that not every time a recipe comes out looking 100% aesthetically pleasing and perfect. I like to call this a beautiful mess.
I probably would have retested it so it comes out looking more “pretty” but as soon as I took a bite out of this baby I knew I had to share it with you ASAP. It’s THAT good...kind of addicting.
Here is the recipe:
Strawberry Chocolate Bars:
Strawberry Jam
* 2 cups sliced strawberries
* 2 tbsp honey
* 1 tbsp lemon juice
* 1/2 tsp corn starch + 1 tsp water
Shortbread
* 2 cups almond flour
* 1 cup rolled oats
* 1/4 tsp flaky sea salt
* 2 tbsp honey/maple syrup
* 1 tbsp peanut butter
* 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
Chocolate layer
* 1 cup dark choc. chips
* 1 tbsp coconut oil
Directions:
1. Add all jam ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer to a small saucepan and bring to a simmer and cook for 8-10 min. until thickened. Pour into a small bowl and refrigerate until cooled.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a small baking dish with parchment paper. Add all shortbread ingredients to a food processor. Process until a soft dough forms. Press evenly onto bottom of baking dish. Bake for 18-20 min. until golden brown. Cool at room temp for 5 min. then transfer to freezer to completely cool.
3. Once shortbread and jam have cooled, spread jam over in an even layer. Transfer to freezer for 20-25 min. until hardened slightly.
4. Melt choc. chips and coconut oil in a double boiler. Spread over choc. in even layer. Freeze for an additional 10 min.
5. Cut into some messy bars and enjoy

Do you find it overwhelming trying to keep up with all the diet trends?
We know that we do and honestly it’s also very difficult to follow.
We believe in long-term changes and aren’t here to help you choose the most popular diet trend. ♀
Coming up with an actual sustainable and individualized nutrition plan takes a lot more than you filling out a quick form or short quiz
To truly discover your nutrition needs we recommend that you speak with a Registered Dietitian and not expect that you’ll be put on a strict diet starting tomorrow.
✨ If you don’t believe in the one-size fits all diet approach comment “NO DIETS” down below!!

It's incredible how eating has become so unnecessarily difficult & complicated
People don't know what to eat or what diet to follow anymore
With many still left confused/puzzled thinking there are still some form of magic foods & diets
The perfect diet is☝️that fits ur personal goals, preferences & individual needs ☝️that serves your lifestyle, body & mind☝️you can enjoy & stick to for life
The bigger your focus on certain diets & foods, the more issues people tend to develop overtime leading to fear, guilt, anxiety
Don't let diets or certain foods control & compromise your life
Common sense & mindful eating have been clouded by unnecessary pressure of perfection
Food is life, it's mean to be enjoyed, with variety a spice of life
The more perfect you try be, the more flawed your eating behaviors become
The more you try micromanage every detail, the more diet & food will control you & your life
Life is full of temptations & they’ll get deeper the more we eliminate & restrict foods
The word diet automatically makes you think restrict/ eliminate
We all have a limited amount of Willpower before we give in
The more you not allowed to eat something, the more likely you are to want it
The more you try resist a certain food, the more your mind becomes preoccupied by it
Don’t focus on what you can’t eat, but on everything you can
Successful fat loss doesn’t start with a diet full of restrictions
it starts by changing☝️mindset, habits & behaviors turning into a lifestyle you enjoy
Eliminate old habits & set forth good☝️that stay with you for life
Give up dieting it just causes more physiological & psychological turmoil
Food is/never has been the problem to our weight problems
Its our very own perception/thinking towards food that’s issue. Which is damaged due to our weak & poor mindset
Developing a healthy relationship with food takes ⏰ . It doesn't happen by dieting, restricting foods, seen as good or bad
Toast Thursday can be a thing right? Nothing hits the spot more than PB smothered on some @rudisorganic gluten-free toast. Also topped with sliced nectarine, hemp seeds, buckwheat groats, and a GENEROUS drizzle of honey.
Nahh I’m not still drooling. What are your favorite sweet/savory toast toppings?
Eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive ♂️

Sometimes we want the “quick fix” or the one thing that’s gonna make us healthier with minimal effort
The advertising of “super food”- food that have amazing health benefits- created a huge market aiming for those who want to add one thing to their diet and call it a day
These products are often marketed highly but the truth is ....if you eat from what the Earth has given you, you are good to go!
Bottom Line: Healthy can be CHEAP or EXPENSIVE depending on how you make it out to be
Please note that my posts are not to hate on those who buy chia seeds etc, cuz I do it myself, but they’re posts to make sure that is aware that eating healthy is accessible to most of us
Share with us one of your favorite CHEAP & healthy foods! ⬇️⬇️⬇️
