But don’t tell my parents...⁣⠀ They were right.⁣⠀ I know Juniper didn’t come out of my womb and she’s, well, a dog but she’s my child nonetheless. I was the one cleaning her diarrhea up in the middle of the night, taking her on walks every two hours, testing all kind of food for her sensitive stomach... I am guilty of using her as an excuse to not go out at night or giving myself a curfew. Her happiness is what gives my life light. Despite the lack of conversation, I know when she’s happy, sad, confused, tired, and of course mischievous. I stay up at night when her tummy aches and she doesn’t feel good if she can’t sleep- I can’t sleep. And you bet I FaceTime her any chance I get when I’m traveling. Perhaps this isn’t what my parents meant when they said that statement countless times, but by gosh do I love this little girl with all of my heart and I would do anything for her! And to imagine, 5 years ago she was running around by the 101 freeway... abandoned. Real Talk Time: The first thing I saw when I got this image were the ripples of skin/cellulite in my upper right leg. Pretty much solidifying a round of “I’m just not thin enough. This is gross. I’m too big” and a session of comparing my body to other runners I see on a daily basis. Side note: I also have cellulite on the backs of my legs and have had the same reactions. . . BUT. then I told that voice to STFU. Literally GTFO. I’m so Happy here! Look at my smile - I wasn’t concerned about the shape of my body At. all. These legs... this BODY takes me so many miles. Climbs so many mountains. It does so much Work. It gets me so many places I literally can’t believe it does. These legs push so hard. My. Body. Is. So. Strong. I’m so proud of what it allows me to do and you know what? So many women have cellulite. So many women have rolls. Dimples. Stretch marks. Scars. ITS A BODY. They are so incredible and NONE of these things diminish intelligence. Capability. beauty or worth or strength. Period. If you struggle at all with your body or seeing others who don’t look like you out there — you’re just right exactly as you are. I hope you can silence any demon voice that starts to tear you down because that isn’t reality. In college, I ran for a goal body I thought I needed, now I run for the mental health, the strength I feel, the confidence I have built. That “goal body” is a societal construct and I say to all that toxic body image BS. #thanksforlisteningtomytedtalk

Kto rano nie wstaje, ten po nocy straszy w lesie. ⠀ Niestety plan dnia nie wypalił tak jak chciałem, a kilometry wybiegać trzeba było... ⠀ W dodatku KAC po wczorajszym ognisku fundował mi niezły refluks, zgagę i ból głowy. ⠀ Na szczęście moj naturalny izotonik w postaci herbatki z mięty i rumianku z dodatkiem miodu, cytryny i soli himalajskiej spisał się na medal. ⠀ Magiczna mieszanka - nie dość że odżywia, to jeszcze wspomaga pracę żołądka.
