So I got to my neurology appointment and I'm honestly disappointed with how it went. They said they would be testing my nerve and muscle function. The nerve test wasn't too bad. It was just electrical currents through my nerves and wasn't really painful to me. But the muscle test was a needle through every muscle in my right arm and leg. Wasn't too fun really. My right arm is actually swollen and bruised. They must have got a nerve or vein. We got the results straight away. If course everything was normal. Apparently that's good because I ruled out a lot of "nasty stuff" according to the nurse. But I'm disheartened with it all because of what I was told. I asked if I could talk to my neurologist about getting a medicine for my chronic fatigue (a medicine my dad has taken for his). She told me, "oh you don't have a neurologist here. We are just doing the testing for you." That was a shock to me because I told my GP I wanted to see a neurologist and talk to them about my issues. Whatever I guess. I don't have a neurologist yay... Tomorrow I have to call my GP to make sure they have the results from my test. I'm probably seeing a rheumatologist next because my doctors are freaked out over my joint issues and believe me I am too but I have been fatigued and housebound and mostly bedbound for 15 months and my chronic fatigue is debilitating. I really feel like no one gives a flying crap about me not able to walk or eat or cook or do ANYTHING like a normal human because of CFS. I guess I'm just going to continue to struggle. Honestly just feeling like FML. Yesterday after the appointment I just laid in bed with this heaviness in my stomach and throat because I was too physically tired to cry. Took a nap and I've been struggling with my depression.
