Fresh Spring Rolls w/ Hmong Sausage It’s here! Another way you can use up Hmong sausage. Um, I’m asking you to put semi cold sausage into your spring rolls? YES! Don’t freak! I get it, Hmong sausage is suppose to be eaten warm, but as long as you cut it nice and thin and consume the rolls day of, it’s going to taste just as fabulous. Hi guys I was a little intimidating taking on this Vietnamese classic But pretty happy with the result Recipe below VIETNAMESE RICE PAPER ROLLS | 8 rolls INGREDIENTS: 8 round rice paper sheets 22cm (8,5’’) 12 cooked shrimps, peeled, deveined and cut in half 16 basil leaves 8 lettuce leaves 60g (2oz) vermicelli noodles 2,5dl (1cup) bean sprouts Dipping sauce: 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tsp brown sugar 1 chilli, finely chopped 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp rice vinegar juice from 1/2 lime METHOD: 1️⃣ Mix together all ingredients for the dipping sauce in a bowl. 2️⃣ Put the noodles in a big bowl. Pour over boiling water and soak for 3-4 mins, then drain. 3️⃣ Dip the rice paper in warm water. Then lay it on a clean surface (slightly wet). 4️⃣ Place noodles and bean sprouts on a lettuce leaf. Wrap into a bundle and place in the middle of the rice paper. Then place 3 halved shrimps and 2 basil leaves above the lettuce bundle. 5️⃣ Wrap the rice paper around the lettuce bundle and then the shrimps. Ready to serve! KRISSLOVESFOOD TIPS: ‍ Use 2 sheets instead of 1 if your first attempt to roll the rice paper fails. Much easier to handle. They will turn into one if you hold them together when dipping them in the water ‍ Get creative with fillings! For instance substitute Basil with Mint or Cilantro or mix them all
