[D i a b e t e s] if you are thinking about diabetes in relation to carbohydrates you are missing a very important piece in the puzzle. Artificial blue and green light exposure after dark makes humans more insulin resistant which can lead to diabetes. Numerous studies have shown this and also shown that insulin resistance increases from small amounts of blue light exposure whilst we sleep!
Many of us who manage our light environments can enjoy seasonal carbohydrates at the correct time of day with no problems at all
[Y o u t h] did you know that blue light in isolation accelerates ageing? Ageing in the eyes and skin to be exact, you would be best served protecting your eyes from blue light with blue blockers after dark and blue light reducing glasses during the day. The antidote to blue light is red light, so make sure you are always surrounded by red light sources during the day as well as wearing your BLUblox. We recommend @gembared as they have the lowest EMF
[S u n s e t] together! Watching the sunset with a loved one is not just a romantic experience it’s a healthy one! The colours, both visible and invisible, from the sun setting triggers the pineal gland to get ready to secrete sleep hormones and reduce stress hormones. Don’t forget to slip on your blue blockers afterward though!
[Y e l l o w] tinted lenses that specifically target the 400-450nm blue spectrum have been proven to improve mood and well-being. Not only do these lenses block blue light in the exact frequencies that causes cell death in your eyes during the day they also reduce cortisol. The glow our SummerGlo lenses create also makes us feel alert and happy. The ultimate colour therapy hit!

[R e d] makes you go to bed. Red lenses are more superior than amber or yellow lenses for after sunset use. The reason is the melatonin disruption zone runs from 400-550nm. BLUblox red lenses block 100% of light is this range. Amber lenses only truely block blue light when green is also an issue. Yellow lenses are to be worn during the day when in doors. So remember when it comes to choosing your blue blockers “red makes you go to bed”
