Demotivated - When it comes to lifting I think motivation/self discipline can run dry pretty quick and often. We can become demotivated for a multitude of reasons. - Personal Life issues - Mundane Routines (weight lifting can get pretty repetitive sometimes) - Laziness - You don’t know what’s your WHY - Not seeing results How to go about fixing this? - Get on a program that gets results. Once you see progress you won’t want to stop. - Tell yourself that if it was easy everyone else would do it - Mix it up! Go to the gym with friends, change your program, try new things! - Utilize working out as time to yourself like a stress reliever. Even put all your anger into the weights if needed!‍♂️ - Figure out the real reason why you’re doing what you do. Bulking on a Budget - Sometimes our goals can be expensive, in this case bulking, but we can try our best to minimize our cost while still attaining our goals. ———————————————— What is Bulking - the intentional act of gaining weight in attempt to put on more mass and size. ⚡️ Foods to look for that are inexpensive calorie per dollar wise. - Whey Protein Smoothies (banana, honey, oats, protein powder, milk) - Rice - Milk (in my opinion not necessarily the healthiest of options but it does get the job done) - Mixed Nuts (high in calories and fats) - Eggs (simple, fast, easy, good source of protein, be careful high in cholesterol) - Potato’s (High carbs) ————————————————— My Thoughts ❓ As a bulking college student myself sometimes getting food that is cheap while still allowing me to get into the caloric surplus is difficult. Difficult but doable. Personally I take a dirty bulk approach and eat anything I can get my hands onto but I do advocate lean bulking if possible as it doesn’t lead to spill over of fat. You can make do with minimal amounts of money if done right, purchasing in bulk, purchasing the right products, and being conscious/consistent of your calories in everyday. ❗️Sample Incline Dumbbell Press Workout❗️ ⤵️Try it Out⤵️ Incline Dumbbell Press 4x6 (RPE 9) Incline Barbell Press 4x12 (RPE 9) Dumbbell Shoulder Press 4x10 (RPE 8) Tricep French Press 3x10 (RPE 8) Side Lateral 3x15 (RPE 6) Low to High Cable Fly 3x20 (RPE 6) Why did I set it up the way I did? - Took into consideration of MRV and MEV - Specificity of training, included a lot of similar movement patterns to the targeted main movement - Tried to focus accessories on having direct carry over to the main lift that being incline dumbbell press - Started with heavier weights and moved to lighter weights with more reps - Included chest flies, something I don’t normally do, but because the upper chest is usually an extremely stubborn muscle group, extra volume won’t hurt - Make sure on all the incline movement your elbows are not flared all the way out to the side, this’ll prevent you from hurting your rotator cuff ————————————————— Try it out! There are a few fitness rules you should always stick to 1. Never miss a Monday workout 2. Hydrate enough throughout the day 3. Hit Abs 6-7 days a week( at least it works for me) 4.eat healthy carbs, they fuel your body and they are not “evil” 5. Ignore the haters , there are too many out there and mostly they are focusing negatively on you because they aren’t happy with themselves,. Fuck them! 6. Never give up ,. Most times people give up right before they see results ,. You could go months and not see a difference , then one day you wake up and will be like “where did those muscles come from?”.. and when you see the results, workouts stop being hard and you start looking forward to the next one,.. it becomes a beautiful obsession And lastly 7. EAT!! Eat enough, don’t starve yourself,. If you don’t feed your muscles they won’t grow.by not eating, what you are doing is building muscle to instantly have your body eat and burn off that muscle you just worked hard for. your body is going eat whether you feed it or not and then you really are working out for nothing Follow these rules daily, they will help significantly

The importance of pre-planning your workouts is dire. If you want bigger arms, remember that bicep work isn't all you should focus on. Roughly 70% of your upper arm consists of the three headed point of your triceps(key word-tri ). So, if you want bigger arms , focus on 3/4th tricep workouts and 1/4th bicep,.. I have been using @fatgripz to do bicep curls because it changes your grip and really pushes you to different limits., as far as triceps ,I'll do various things, rope presses,diamond push-ups etc. all focused on in my programs out soon. The golden ratio is above all the goal,. I'm also testing something called BFR (blood flow restriction) using bands, but I will discuss more after trying it for a little while Golden ratio-1:1.618 ,.. shoulder width by waist ratio to look like a Greek statue and god. That's supposedly the perfect ratio. So,take your waist measurements and then X's it by 1.618, and that's the measurement that your shoulders should be to be in that perfect aesthetic ratio. You can either make waist smaller or shoulders broader in order to achieve this. But you find those measurements all over your body nutrition is also a huge factor , in a recent post I mentioned not cutting out carbs, this is a huge controversy apparently and there are some people who absolutely don't understand that some carbs are good. The key to this is GOOD carbs,. Not white bread and pasta , I am talking about sweet potatoes,regular potatoes, White rice (not brown, brown is harder to digest) Ezekiel bread, gluten free etc.... the problem with low or no carbs is you are slowly going to destroy yourself and have no energy Carbs are the most important fuel for exercise, especially when you lift over 65 percent of your max effort.long term carb restriction will actually impair your exercise capacity, which will lead to physical deterioration.a low carb/high fat diet will increase fat and decrease lean mass in as little as two weeks. Deterioration in heart function in as quick as 4 weeks. Humans need a variety of foods,restricting nutrients can deteriorate metabolic function and lead to poor health
