officially on baby watch! 37 weeks and 3 days pregnant with our little man! I’ve managed to have only gained 8lbs overall thus far but still feel huge ‍♀️. Little man was measuring 6.5lbs at his 36 week ultrasound - they are estimating about a 7.5lbs baby . His head is measuring in the 97th percentile . Please tell me your baby did too and you survived?! . At my 37 week check we weren’t effaced or dilated at all, they say he’s real comfy in here . We’re in the home stretch! Happy Sunday! Excited for a new week! This last week I’m down about 4lbs just by paying close attention to what I’m putting in my body, lots of water and walking. (Can’t lift for another week). Happy 7 months to my sweet, fun, healthy boy! My mind is blown how fast time goes by with a baby. The months just keep flyingggg! Aubrey is such a chill, independent and positive little guy! He’s really starting to find his voice giving loud happy screams of excitement. He’s been sitting up like a pro for the past couple weeks and is army crawling and scooting on his knees all over the place trying to get to whatever he has his eyes on. He looooves to jump and bounce up and down while we hold him in a standing position with his feet on the floor or on our laps. We’ve been playing all kinds of fun games with him, he’s a super quick learner! Jason and I are fairly certain he knows his name now and looks at us when we call his name. He also now understands the concept of object permanence which is amazing to see his brain developing! One big milestone he’s reached is that he said his first real word last week! I was super busy all day with Jason when both our dads helped us move into our new space. I really didn’t get to spend a lot of time with little Aubrey man that day since there was sooooo much to do so my mom watched him all day for us. We were finishing up, she bought him over to our new place and I was outside gathering the last bit of boxes to bring inside. As I opened the door, my mom was holding him and Aubrey saw me, held out his arms towards me and said’ “MA-MA” My mom and I looked at each other in complete shock and we were both like, “OMG he just said Mama!!” It was the most precious thing ever and made my heart complete melt! He’s been saying a lot of MAs, BAs, MUMs and MOMs! Another fun little fact is that he just started recognizing family members on FaceTime. Our closest family lives 3.5 hours away and we get to see them every 3 weeks or so but Aubrey definitely knows who’s who when we FaceTime now, it’s adorable! He’s also a big flirt with the ladies. He’ll be super serious in his stroller and when a girl comes over to see him, he gives the biggest smiles but will mean-mug when a man waves to him We love you so much and are so proud of all you do Aubrey!! Current Situation: Ran 3.5 miles, got sweet new $25 @adidas kicks from @costco and drinking what might be my first ever Diet Coke because I’m so sick of carbonated flavored waters. ‍♀️ #desperatetimes Just wish this coke came with an adult kick. I guess baby kicks will have to do instead.
