I have read, many times, how Satan tempted Eve into eating the forbidden fruit and how she shared it with Adam. Yet, until the other night, I have never considered WHY she actually decided to eat it. I felt an overwhelming heaviness as I understood. I’m sharing it with you. . Satan told Eve that if she ate the fruit, she would become like God. Suddenly, Eve doubted that she was enough. She began to doubt her self worth. Eve believed that if she *just ate that fruit*, somehow she would be better. What Eve forgot is that she was already wonderful and good AND made in God’s image. Eve ALREADY WAS like God. She never needed anything else, and in eating that fruit she got the opposite of what she wanted. She became a sinner. She became like Satan. . I confess, I too have been like Eve. I have let the devil trick me into thinking I am more like garbage than the daughter of a king. . The devil will tempt us in many ways and in many forms. Telling us that we aren’t pretty enough, good enough, successful enough, rich enough, unique enough, smart enough, qualified enough, educated enough, strong enough... the list goes on and on. Then he tells us if we just had this or that (insert the fruit) we would be better. ALL LIES . The only thing that will fulfill us is the grace of Jesus, and even then scripture tells us we must “resist the devil so that he will flee” from us. Our life is worth fighting for. . There’s this new innate sense of mother-ness that envelopes you wholly and completely. This constant sitting, processing, thinking there’s more that you can do to love children, and their mothers, and their fathers, and their families, where they need it. You now have this connection to everyone around you in realizing you are fully capable of loving any person, and any child as if they were related to you by blood because suddenly blood doesn’t matter. I’ve found myself up late at night wondering if there’s more I can do, if I can love bigger or better. Truth is we are all a little broken in our own ways, I am not Momma D’s “White Christian savior”, I’m not better than her, my mother was not and is not better than my own birth mother, we simply all needed each other’s broken love to help make each other a little more whole. When you realize the biggest blessing you have ever been given is stepping out of comfort, being okay with being broken, opening your eyes to hurt that you’ve tried harshly to avoid in this world and choosing to love beyond your circle you will never feel like your circle is small again - instead you feel that the entire world has become your circle and THAT is why this matters, why adoption matters, and why love matters. Took a quick trip to @realfunbox today! The kids loved it - especially the fruit loops at the end! If you’re looking for something to do during the week - totally recommend it. It’s right next to a movie theatre, food, and bowling so you can plan a day of it! Also weekday would be best IMO no one was there with us so we could take our time in each room!

Oh dear god, the tantrums are hear, and when your child starts to show the signs you totally freak!! Let me say that Tj and I have a conversation every day about how or what to do when he has one. Now, with the help from @tantrumfix things seem to be improving and we learned a lot on how to help our toddler as well as understanding him.
