Be still, my heart. ⠀⠀ It’s hard to believe that the other two were ever this small, but it’s easy to see that they grow so much each day. ⠀⠀ Anytime that I think time is pass slowly, I take a look at my kiddos and see that is not true. I might not change much, but they grow a little taller and stronger and more independent each day. It’s been almost six years since Lisanna was born, Arrow will be five this year, and we’ve lived in Japan for almost three. How all those moments and hours and days and years have already passed, I can’t tell you. But I can tell you where they’ve gone. I’ve bottled them all up. And I have a bottle full of tears and laughter, successes and failures, love and mistakes. I’ve carefully bottled up each little milestone that each baby passes, and I’ve bottled up the celebration of every tiny first smile, every wobbly first step, and every surprising first tooth. I’ve kept every warm cuddle, every smile just for me, and every “I love you” tucked in my heart. And I keep them there, making sure that I always make the time for one more moment, one more memory, that I can add to that bottle. Because they’re worth it.
