Our PGT-A results are in... We tested 14 embryos, and of those we have: - So, what does this mean? We have 9 perfect, genetically sound babies. We have 3 babies that have a 20-40% chance of miscarriage, which is still considered Normal as one in three pregnancies result in miscarriage (), and we have two babies that came back with an abnormal chromosome count, with high likelihood of Down Syndrome. We are simply thrilled with these results. I have had so many happy tears over the last 24 hours. We did find out the sexes as well, and will be sharing that in a few weeks. Merry Christmas everyone! As of Sunday we are 20 weeks and halfway through this. We received the best Christmas gift we could have imagined just having this little boy or girl growing and knowing they’ll be here before we know it. Day One of Stims: Complete. 225 IUs of Gonal-F 150 IUs of Menopur My mom and I FaceTimed Alex, and he helped walk us through the mixing of the meds, since that’s usually his job. Shots weren’t too bad today either, lots of ice before and after. I prefer to numb my stomach as much as possible each night (it helps tremendously with the initial pinch and, of course, bruising). And I remembered very quickly how much Menopur burns going in; I had forgotten prior to pushing the first dose quickly. Ouch Overall, I am in a much better mindset than I was yesterday. I think exhaustion and fatigue hit me hard, and the anxiety became unbearable. I think the waiting is the worst part when trying to conceive. Time doesn’t seem to move. Minutes feel like hours, and hours feel like days. Day after day, you’re just waiting. And with waiting comes thinking, and with thinking comes overthinking, and with overthinking comes second guessing. And with second guessing comes trouble. For me, the waiting also magnifies that I’m not getting any younger. If we get pregnant this year, I’ll be 34 when I have our first baby. Not that we’re “old” by any means, but ideally we want multiple children, and with that comes pressure. Tick tock. Tick tock. Tick tock. Trust the timing. Trust the timing.
