Experiment time! I finally used my horoku - which is a special pot for roasting tea (or other things..) to make some fresh houjicha. • I held & tossed the tea 5 minutes over a medium fire. For this tea 5 mins turned out to be a little too long; shorter next time. • I think it’s fascinating how different the tea looks after the short roasting - as if the tea is way more stalky.
