It’s Day 124 of the Sea Side Scarf. It’s another gloomy, grey, showery day. I knitted my four rows in seed stitch (turbulent/ruffled water), using @redheartyarns Light Grey Super Saver worsted weight yarn to match the water color. One more day, and one more day of rain. I have nothing left to say about the weather. I took the scarf out the the porch to take my photos, and it started to rain again. In my photo and video today I made sure to get the two sailboats that are the first on the moorings this year. At least someone is proceeding on the belief that there will be warmth and sunshine again. It’s Day 116 of the Sea Side Scarf. Today was a grey, cold, rainy day. I knitted my four rows in stockinette stitch (still water), using @redheartyarns Dusty Grey Super Saver worsted weight yarn to match the grey water. With temperatures in the 40s it was pretty cold, and with the rain it was just plain miserable. The forecasters are calling for a week with temps in the low 50’s, and we are about to break the record for April days with measurable rain, and we should top out with at least twenty days. The water on the street hasn’t dried, and water continues to come off Great Hill. The weather forecasters are still saying we might have scattered showers, so we aren’t out of the wet woods yet. It’s a good sports day in Boston. The Sox have a day/night double header because of yesterday’s rainout, and the Bruins are in game seven tonight against Toronto. Marchand has been very critical of the ice at home, and the team has been so inconsistent, this game could go either way. Fingers crossed. The Sox are the only game in town this afternoon, so with undivided attention they are losing. It’s Day 115 of the Sea Side Scarf. It was another beautiful, sunny day, though it was still pretty cool. I knitted my four rows following chart six (incoming tide), using @redheartyarns Delft Blue Super Saver worsted weight yarn to match the color of the water. I took today’s scarf photos on the porch with the setting sun providing the lighting. I found the light very interesting on the close-up of today’s knitting. It was a nice change having the more orange light shining directly on the Scarf. I only wish I had done a better job setting up the shot, but I was racing the sunset to get the photo of the whole scarf while there was still daylight. The real problem was a Dredge barge and a tugboat leaving the Fore River, which I obviously had to take photos of as they left. It’s Day 112 of the Sea Side Scarf. It was very foggy all day, with torrential rain for most of it, and heavy rain for the rest. I knitted my four rows in stockinette stitch to represent the unidimensional fog, using @redheartyarns White Super Saver worsted weight yarn for the fog. It was so foggy you couldn’t see the water across the street, and it looked like the world ended at the houses across the street. It was a very quiet day, other than the continual pounding of the rain on the windows and the roof. We are predicted to have rain through Friday, except for a sunny day on Thursday. Add that to the rain this past weekend, and we are swimming.
