Butternut Squash Noodles vs. Zucchini Noodles. Which would you choose? ⠀

Personally, we love them both. When we find an easy way to change up a basic recipe like this turkey meat sauce, we are all about it! ⠀

This is a super simple turkey meat sauce with spiralized veggies meal prep that we always have on hand. You could swap out the butternut squash noodles or zucchini noodles for other favorites like sweet potato, carrot or even parsnip noodles. It's all about deciding what is best for YOU! ⠀

The basic turkey meat sauce recipe is as follows:⠀
1 pound ground turkey breast ( we use 93/7) or ground beef⠀
4 cloves garlic, minced⠀
1 medium onion, finely diced⠀
1-28 ounce can crushed tomatoes⠀
1 tbsp Italian seasoning⠀
1 tbsp olive oil⠀
salt & pepper, to taste⠀
fresh basil/parsley, if desired⠀

METHOD:⠀
1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook, stirring, until softened, about 5 minutes. ⠀
2. Stir in garlic and Italian seasoning and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add turkey and salt; cook, crumbling the turkey with a wooden spoon and stirring, until turkey is no longer pink about 10 minutes. ⠀
3. Increase heat to medium high. Stir in tomatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in parsley (or basil).⠀
4. Serve over spiralized veggies.⠀

This recipe serves 4-6. We used some for meal prep this week and then frozen the rest in batches for upcoming busy weeks. ⠀
