Months ago I started practicing #ashtanga because I was desperate to do something about my leg... I had gotten to a point where even walking had become painful. When I met the #guru #linomiele for the first time I asked him what to do about it and he said this practice would fix everything. So I asked "how?" and he literally said "you don't need to know how. Everyone wants to know how things work... but you have to just trust that they will and then you'll know how. So just do it and, not only your leg will heal, but your whole life will change... just do it!" I believed him and I started practicing as much as I could. Then I began to see some changes and I committed even more... then more and then I started realizing what he meant that day... fast forward to a few months later and I have finally finished the #ashtangaprimaryseries, my leg is finally healed and I can do things with my body I thought were completely insane! Not only that, I am a more confident person and even if I don't know what the future will hold for me, I know that there is no life without problems, and it's just about the way we approach them every day that makes the difference in a person's life. So thanks to my #guru for the #inspiration and thanks to @myfrelady and @paolamaugeri for introducing me to this practice, even though I admit that I didn't understand what they meant at first and I would have never started had it not been for the issue with my leg. Once again, something that was initially an obstacle became a great #opportunity and a huge #blessing in my life.

Non avrei potuto cominciare meglio il 2019 se non con la mia pratica mattutina di yoga! Le idee e la creatività hanno bisogno di un corpo flessibile ma forte, strutturato ma leggero e in questo senso l’#ashtangayoga yoga è insostituibile. In tre anni da quando ho iniziato a praticarlo mi ha letteralmente cambiato la vita migliorandola in ogni suo aspetto. È una disciplina che ti cambia nel corpo e nell’anima e se non demordi di fronte alle difficoltà che ogni giorno ti pone davanti ti regala la capacità di andare oltre i tuoi limiti fisici, mentali ed emotivi perché come recita un vecchio adagio indiano: nella vita abbiamo bisogno di muscoli di ferro e nervi di acciaio! Grazie di cuore ad un grande maestro come #linomiele per aver creato una grande comunità con praticanti da tutto il mondo. Questa esperienza indiana è stata meravigliosa! I couldn’t have wished for a better start to this year other than my morning yoga practice. Creative ideas need to flow through a flexible but strong body, with a well defined but light structure. That’s why I feel #ashtanga yoga is unparalleled in this regard. During the past three years since I started practicing it, #ashtanga has completely changed my life, by improving it in every aspect. It is a discipline that changes your body and soul.
