I’ve been focusing a lot more on recovery lately, physically and mentally. It’s not always fun or easy to take rest days from something you’re passionate about, but if you use that time efficiently, your body AND your mind will cooperate much more next training day.
Days like today where I’m well rested, meal prepping, and lounging around is what’s going to propel my intensity and drive for what tomorrow brings. My goals are big and I’m ready to reach them, and I’m going to do whatever it takes to get me there. -

230lbs x1 // Tested my high-bar max this past weekend at @hiddenstrengthgym before switching to low-bar. I haven’t touched this weight in almost a year because of how indecisive I’ve been with my fitness goals. Lately I’ve just been wanting to cut but tbh, playing with heavy iron is just so much more fun for me. I think at the end of this year, I’d rather see how strong I can be so I’m signing up for one more powerlifting meet! ♀️♀️ Thanks @neilvegetadang for the spot

Auf dem oberen Bild seht ihr eine hohe Ablage der Hantelstange. Sie liegt auf dem Trapezius, jedoch nicht (!) direkt auf den Halswirbeln auf. Sie ermöglicht eine aufrechte Beuge und bietet sich besonders für Personen mit langem Oberkörper an. Zudem ist eine tiefere Kniebeuge leichter möglich.
Tendenziell ist die Variante eher Quadrizeps-dominant.

Bei der lowbar-Ablage liegt die Stange ein gutes Stück tiefer auf dem Rücken und kann durch leicht nach hinten gedrehte Ellenbogen stabil am Körper gehalten werden. Bei dieser Variante wird mit mehr Vorlage des Oberkörpers gearbeitet, um den Schwerpunkt über der Fußmitte halten zu können. Tendenziell ist die Belastung von unterem Rücken, Gluteus und Beinbeugern höher als bei Highbar.

Keep your head up
Some days are harder than others. Don’t let these thoughts set you back & hold you from your potential. We all have those days, more so good over bad days it becomes all balanced. You never would know what a good day is until you’ve had a bad day. Reversed. Appreciate each experience to the point of perception. Show Gratitude & express it to others around you. Don’t let the negative energy consume you to ruin your day. Take what it’s for and move on. Learn the lesson you needed to learn. Think about it, the worst already happened so it’s time to embrace the rest of the experience. It’s time to take control of your emotions and follow your plan. Trust the process in which you have created for yourself. Two steps forward and one step back is still progress. Little Progress is better than no progress. Motivate yourself to be the best version. On days like these I have my best workouts. I find my inner peace & just do instead of thinking about it. As an individual we are strong. as a community we are even stronger. Pick up your peers around you if you’ve notice that they need a hand. Encourage others the way you want to be supported! By changing your own perspective on how you are living your life, you can completely change the world. So on these “Hard days” hit back even Harder n stay grounded to why we all started this journey as a whole. Live-Learn-& Move forward. - @hunterbfit
