Many times we live with the PURPOSE of making good impressions on others or we only do things to please ourselves. ⁣ ⁣ The PURPOSE as to why we do things can cause there to be harmony or conflict around us. If we live selfishly it can cause conflict or hostility, if we live the way Christ lived by loving others and being selfless it can cause harmony and peace. ⁣ ⁣ In Philippians 2, Paul emphasizes the importance of spiritual unity. He asked the Philippians to be ONE in SPIRIT & PURPOSE.⁣ ⁣ When we work together, loving others, CARING for problems of others as if they were our problems, we display Christ’s example of putting others first and we experience unity. ⁣ ⁣ This does not mean you take other people's problems and make them your own. The definition of CARING is “displaying kindness and concern for others”. We must make sure we have discernment and not confuse “CARING” with “taking on other peoples problems”.⁣ ⁣ Paul was asking the Philippians to have compassion for others. We to should have compassion for others.⁣ ⁣ Do you listen to others when they need help? When was the last time you asked those in your life how they were doing and if they need someone to talk to? (Just being a listener)⁣ ⁣ When you hear someone at church, family or friends needing help with housework, moving or errands, etc., do you offer to help?⁣ ⁣ “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.” Phil 2:3⁣ ⁣ “Selfishness can ruin a church, but genuine humility can build it”⁣ ⁣ Do not be hard on yourself or put yourself down if you feel you struggle with this. We are blessed by the GRACE of God and we are saved from our sins. This means we are very valuable in GOD’S KINGDOM!⁣ ⁣ Together (with ONE MIND) we are to live and do things with the PURPOSE of being HUMBLE & SELFLESS towards others just as Christ did. I don't get to choose how many tomorrows I get or if life will always feel kind. I only get to choose how I show up this hour and this day. If I'll forgive and love when it hurts and it's easier to turn away. If I'll keep my heart tender or shut down to avoid more pain. If I'll feel my anger and sorrow and still get out of bed in the morning. If I'll keep building a life of my own making, one meal, one hug, one tentative step at a time. Which way do you go? Sometimes making a decision and knowing there is no turning back can be challenging. But, I’m the kinda girl that takes that route to challenge myself to think out side the box and grow beyond my norm. Sometimes you want the freedom to make choices and change your mind but it’s important to know that sometimes the freedom of changing your mind and choosing the road that offers you the option to “turn around” is in fact the most crippling option. ............................................................................. For the past two years I’ve been making life changing decisions and not taking the road that allows me to turn around. It’s been GREAT! I encourage you to be more free to your thinking, and be more solid in your decision making. You can pivot the plan but don’t change the goal.

Leave a 'YES' if you will over value yourself this week. There is a difference between being conceited and knowing our worth. And sometimes it takes us knowing our worth and adding a bit more worth onto that, to truly give ourselves the self love and confidence we deserve. Because often times, our worth is more than we even think it is. We're often led to believe we can't celebrate the little things. That we have to accomplish something outstanding to truly give ourselves the celebration and worth we deserve. This week, celebrate who you are, how hard you work, any small thing you've accomplished. You lift up all of your best friends no matter what it is they do, but not yourself?
