This is a NOT very accurate representation of me today! (I’m back in my PJs after I went for a run this morning ) But I wanted to finally share my Jazz jumpsuit - photographed by the uber talented Alice @the.polka.dot.palace! I made this for the @patternpals vlog and the fabric was gifted to us by @sistermintaka! I haven’t worn this outfit much as it hasn’t been that warm and I’m also stil on the hunt for new sandals that go with this outfit because I actually can’t walk in these heels! They did provide a lot of fun - almost falling over - moments with Alice when we were shooting a few weeks ago, but on a daily basis this is not the look I want to go for! I finally finished a project I’ve had in mind for months! This is a knit #jazzreadytosew jumpsuit with front button placket in mustard California stretch French terry from @fabricdotcom where I re-drafted the bodice to have box sleeves rather than use the sleeveless or set-in sleeve version. I omitted the zip and this knit is perfect- just enough space to get into it without overstretching or popping seams! The one thing I’ll remember to do next time is move the buttonholes closer to the seam by about 1/2”, because I centered them on the facing but with the knit fabric it’s just too far from the hem for the size of the buttons I’ve chosen and it’s a little awkward. It doesn’t look super wrong to me or feel like a problem that would make me avoid wearing it but next time..... I’m happy I got this together in time for the #sewtogetherforsummer challenge! Les premiers rayons de soleil m'ont donné l'envie de coudre la veste Joey de #readytosew issu du super livre #petitshauts de chez @mangoeditions Ce livre est rempli de merveilles. On ne sait pas par où commencer ! Joey, c'est la petite veste mi saison parfaite. Elle est sans chichi et très agréable à porter. J'ai utilisé un jacquard rose poudré avec une touche de lurex cuivre. Im Zuge der #fashionrevolutionweek habe ich mein Kauf- und Konsumverhalten mal wieder näher unter die Lupe genommen. Bei meiner eigenen Kleidung bin ich auf einem guten Weg. Kein Tag, an dem ich nicht mindestens ein selbstgenähtes Teil trage. Stoffkäufe sind (meistens ) geplant und ich achte so gut wie immer auf hochwertige (Bio) Stoffe, an denen ich lange Freude habe. Und Reste werden nicht einfach weggeworfen, sondern sinnvoll verwertet. Gekauft habe ich im letzten Jahr nur Jeans und Outdoor-Sachen. Eine Regenjacke muss eben 100 % wasserdicht sein. In der restlichen Familie ist durchaus noch Verbesserungspotential vorhanden. Aber Teenager kann man nunmal meist nicht mit Selbstgenähtem oder Öko-Klamotten begeistern. Jedenfalls nicht meine‍♀️ Für den Sommer habe ich mir schöne Teile genäht, die sich super miteinander kombinieren lassen; natürlich auch mit Vorhandenem. Die werde ich euch in der nächsten Zeit zeigen. Den Anfang macht der Rock #justinereadytosew aus Leinen (Stoff war eine Tischdecke vom Klamottenschweden) Ha, ertappt- nicht nachhaltig ich bin auch nicht perfekt... Dafür sind die Corozo-Knöpfe #secondhand . Dazu gab es ein #basicinstinctshirt , ein geniales Freebook von Sasha Secondopiano. Das sitzt so klasse, davon habe ich jetzt zwei im Schrank. Der Stoff ist vor Ort gekauft, sehr gute Qualität - aber keine Ahnung, von welchem Hersteller.
