I learnt from the last bumblebee disk!! So happy with this despite that pesky air bubble in the lavender (but I can fill that in easily enough). I don’t have any insect pieces ready to demold yet so have a quick ink dish experiment! I wanted it rainbow (here I used only four colours: blue, yellow, pink and white) but it didn’t quite get there. It’s always interesting to see how they mix! I love the defined drips in the base though, maybe next time I’ll get them to go down the sides! Someone commented somewhere about floral turtles and I wanted to see how they look! I love them!! I did these in one layer (rather than pouring the shell first, then the body) which resulted in the white ink leaking into the shells but I quite like the results! I have lots of exciting things coming up, including butterfly wings, more honeybees, a skull, and mining bees!
