|Tasman Glacier and Hooker Valley Hike| We were so sad that the hooker valley trail was closed as the first bridge was broken due to bad weather, which shortened the hike significantly, but added on another mini hike to the Tasman glacier view point which was breathtaking! Lots of well maintained steps, easy with a baby in tow (some breathlessness to be expected on the way up for the less fit like myself ha) . We adore going on hikes when on holidays because we rarely get the chance to do so back home. The crisp air, scenery and adrenaline rush always feels so amazing! In our younger days, we loved exploring cities, but now, the allure is very much to nature instead! Even just chilling by the Hermitage lodge enjoying the views was totally enjoyable. Can only imagine how beautiful the stars at night are there!

Loving those moments I get to bring #imanamelia to my work space. And particularly here @movetolivesg where she get to do what she loves; jump, climb, throw, run and roll... barefooted. She has spent a lot of her early years barefooted, even when we went venturing outdoors. Going barefoot strengthens the stabilizing muscles of the feet and ankle, making them stronger. Time spent bare feet improves our proprioception which in turn improves our balance and movement. Strangely, I do not feel any newness with the coming new year. Its as though I am living by the day, seizing them as they pass. Every tearless nap is a victory, and every bottle feeding a silent comfort to the entire household. Of course the biggest thing that happened in 2018 was Marissa. There were also bigger things like her first flip, her first solid intake, her first fever. And we know there are still many milestones we've yet to meet. 2019 also signifies a new beginning for me at work. A new place, a new role, and a mum at that. Travelling distance is a pain in the neck, more so as I've to get to work on my own. But we will not be given what we cannot handle. If God is for us, who can be against us?
