Three years ago this week I felt the Lord asking me to come out of my shell a bit and start sharing the gifts He had given me here in these tiny squares. :; “What for? Why now? Who would care to see my art much less enjoy it?” Was my fearful response. “I want you to remember YOU and the unique gifts I’ve knit into YOUR DNA. I want you to awaken your creative heart and learn to enjoy me as you use them once more.” God replied. :: So I obeyed and pushed post.... :: Over these past three years God has met me in profound ways. Like a child, I’ve gripped his loving hand and allowed him to stir, kindle, revive, and excite the creative little girl stuck deep within my soul. He’s gently refocused my gaze away from “greener pastures” to the richest soil of his Word. He’s planted seeds of joy and gratitude as I remain close to his heart. Being honest, I still try and pull away as tucking in close is not natural for me. But day by day as I come back to his embrace he’s faithful to fulfill his loving promises in and through me. And surprisingly I’m finding it’s not so scary coming out of my shell! :: How about you? Does your soul need a little stirring up, reviving, or quickening these days? If you’re like me, you can get caught up focusing on the “more important” gifts and talents of others instead of thanking God for the specific gifts entrusted and woven into your unique DNA. :: In 2 Timothy 1:6, Paul reminds Timothy to do the same...”Let me remind you to use the gift God gave you. Stir into flame, awaken the inner fire, let it grow, as a small flame grows into a fire.” :: Do you believe God gave you a unique calling to enjoy and impact the kingdom of God for his glory? You should. Don’t deny others of the beauty and splendor of Christ in you this day! Spend some time remembering and awakening the gifts he’s poured into YOUR heart and be thankful. My bestie asked me the other day if I would ever go back to my old job in Speech Therapy. I thought about it for a moment and just cherished the memories I had with my little kiddos. As much as I LOVED that job, and thought that was my “forever career” the Lord had other plans. When I didn’t get accepted into grad school my heart was crushed. I thought I was a complete failure. I worked so hard in college and school to make straight A’s and just thought that this major was the best fit for me. But when I received those rejection letters I turned to an outlet I’ve always found safe and comforting (creating/painting/making art). Before I knew it, friends and family were requesting paintings. I quit my speech therapy job to pursue art FULL TIME. Little did I know it would grow to be what it is today and I could not be more grateful. I’m so thankful for YOU, those who continue to support my brand and what it represents. I’m so encouraged that this little platform can do sooo much good across the WORLD providing food and basic needs for the poor in the Philippines. And even the encouraging messages/DMs I get from aspiring emerging artists who say my art motivates them to create! I’m forever grateful for YOU and the Lord who’s allowed me to use this gift to serve others!

A new day. A new start. A fresh dose of receiving gospel grace. Today I was reading through Luke 15 about the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin and the Lost Son. I was struck by Jesus' words declaring the great heavenly celebration over repentance at the end of each parable and it made pause. Far too often I live life stuck...stuck like the little sheep in the prickly briar of a continuing sin, or dusty and hidden like the coin under the back of the couch when I won't forgive someone of a past wound they inflicted, or tired and worn out trying to figure out life on my own, just like the prodigal son. It's sad, but I'm kinda good at this kind of living. I often miss the point that there is a pursuing God who wants me to stop and simply accept being found. And when I do it frees me here on earth and it sets off a heavenly chain of cosmic celebration! Such an amazing thought! So today in view of his persistent pursuit of me I chose to accept being found...{once again}...and in light of his lavish love for me, I make a deliberate choice to turn around and receive the Lord. And in doing so, there is a party in the heavenlies! Ah-may-zing, right? How about you? Are you hiding in unrepentant sin that's making you feel lost and far from God? How about that persistent inner voice that you keep ignoring, but keeps you up at night? We don't have to get our act together first. Nope. All we have to do is accept it. It's called grace. It's a gift. Accept being found right where you are...hidden, dusty, and stuck. And know when you do....YOU are the reason for a great heavenly celebration! Go on...don't wait...accept being found! Repent. Receive grace. And go forth in joy! You are so loved. :: “So the young son set off for home. From a long distance away, his father saw him coming and great compassion swelled up in his heart for his son who was returning home. So the father raced out to meet him.
