So exciting to see our design come to life! The pilot phase for the 3D printed tree pots for the Food Innovation Strip Ede-Wageningen has started. The 2.6 m high pots were assembled at tree nursery @ebben_trees, where the effect of the pot on the growth conditions of the trees will be tested. After the test phase the pots will be placed in the public space, to become a linear arboretum with distinctive trees between Ede and Wageningen. In collaboration with 3D Robot Printing. Soms zet ik mijn hakken in het zand. Letterlijk dan. Zoals je in mijn story kon zien, was ik vandaag op locatie in Den Bosch bij project Heesterburgh in De Haverleij. Het is helaas niet haalbaar om voor elk project de locatie te bezoeken. Nuttig is het wel. Je proeft de sfeer en ziet de kwaliteiten van de plek. In dit geval kwam ik aanrijden over een dijk met grote bomenrij. Rechts het water van Kanaal Henriettewaard en links Golfclub de Haverleij’. De toon is gezet. Niet veel later doemt het eerste ‘kasteel’ op. Ja, dit nieuwbouwplan in Engelen bestaat uit buurten die opgebouwd zijn als kastelen. Alle kastelen hebben hun eigen signatuur en worden omringd door prachtig landschap. Swipe maar, dan zie je wat ik bedoel. Bijzonder aan Heesterburgh is dat dit kasteel geen gesloten enclave wordt, maar zich opent naar de natuur. En toch is er een geborgen karakter. Hiermee verwijst stedenbouwkundige Sjoerd Soeters naar een Frans Terpdorpje. Rijnboutt and MRP Development won the "NRW Jaarprijs 2018", a prize for best retail projects in the Netherlands. It was awarded to the Catharinasteeg in Leiden, where we transformed a historic part of the city into a new vibrant shopping area from 2009 to 2017. The jury has great appreciation for giving this part of the city back to inhabitants and visitors.
