*TRIGGER ALERT* Been looking back at old photos when the babies were born, it brings me both immense happiness and also extremely deep sadness at the same time. In the 1st picture you can see on the red cards that Delilah was Triplet 2 and Wilfred was Triplet 3, our beautiful Dotty was Triplet 1 and I still know that she was there all along to make sure Delilah and Wilf arrived safe and sound before she said her goodbyes. I’ve not spoken about Dotty much on here lately but I think about her every single day without fail and every time I hold Delilah I can picture her smiling back at me and it helps me feel warm inside knowing I will never wonder what she would have been like or looked like and can see her in Delilah every day. We have a memory box and we keep all 3 hospital tags together in their with the 3 peas in a pod. We are hoping to read our @thestoryof_books to Bonnie soon as she is at the stage where she will start to understand these things, she’s just so clever. Today the boys had their 12 month check up and the doctor was very happy with them They’re all healthy, great weights and heights, eating well and developing just as they should be for 1 year olds! We could not be prouder of our 33 weeker preemies and how far they’ve come in the last 12 months: from tiny, tiny babies, to lively, healthy, happy 1 year olds who make us smile everyday! Only one week left as babies

Today our niece Leonie flies back to Germany. She came with us on our flight last week, entertained babies with us for 9 hours and has spent the last week helping us adjust back to life in the US massively! Thank you SO MUCH for all your help this week, I really don’t think I could have survived without someone to help keep 3 cranky, jet lagged babies happy, especially when I left the room you’ve been a star this week @_leomarie - I just wish you’d had more time with the happy, non-jet lagged babies! In a world where you can be anything my sweet babies, please be kind. My husband and I both have careers where we are lucky enough to get to help others, but we also have to witness some pretty horrible things and the worst in people at times. Between our jobs and constantly seeing so many acts of hate around the world on the news, it has made me think a lot about what we can do to teach our kids the importance of being kind to others as they grow up. I want them to understand that you never know what is truly going on in the lives of others, and how important it is to always be kind, even when someone else is not. This morning as I was driving to work, I heard a story on the radio about 11 year old Ruben from Texas who was so saddened by the recent shooting in El Paso, that he is challenging others to do 22 acts of kindness...one for every person who lost their lives in the shooting. I think Ruben sounds like a pretty awesome kid, and I hope one day my own kids will be just as inspired to motivate others to show kindness. My kids may be too young to understand this challenge themselves, but they are never too young to start modeling kind behaviors and learn from my husband and I how they should treat others. So Ruben, we accept your challenge! Thank you for being such a positive inspiration to others!
