Primeiro quero agradecer a todos que já me ajudaram e ou patrocinaram nessa jornada, ou já ajudaram algum competidor da capoeira em algum lugar do mundo , pois sempre tem aqueles que acreditam na capoeira. Independente de ganhar ou perder, treinamos com toda firmeza para além das competições, somos capoeiristas e temos que estar preparados sempre, mas no quesito competição não é fácil, para chegar ao máximo em grande maioria arcamos com todo custo para uma boa performance, preparação física, alimentação, calçados, vestimentas, material para treinamento, periodização e etc.... E fica a pergunta, a capoeira é uma arte reconhecida como patrimônio imaterial da humanidade, está dentro das escolas, periferias, burguesias , em todo lugar e quando será que seus atletas serão e terão reconhecimento adequado, o oq você acha? É fácil, não!,mas é possível?, sim! Eu conseguei algumas coisas e você consegue também. Mas seguimos com todo amor no coração, sempre pela capoeira a maior bandeira a ser defendida. I FINALLY FOUND JEANS THAT FIT!!! . Shopping for jeans has always been a nightmare for me. As skinny jeans became fashionable, my old bootcut jeans began to look dated. . My quads were too big for skinny jeans, and when I went up a size, the waist was too big. . Once in a blue moon, I would brave it and go shopping in an attempt to find my perfect pair, to no avail. . So can you imagine my delight when I discovered Molly Jeggings by @riverisland? . The short and petite sizes both fit me perfectly, and don’t feel restrictive like normal jeans (highlighted when you live in gym leggings 247). They come in loads of different colours and styles. For someone who would have paid £££ to find the perfect pair, I am super happy to find they cost £40.00! . Sounds weird, but without a trusty pair of jeans, a part of my identity got lost as I got stuck wearing gym gear almost every day. . It’s important to understand that not being able to find jeans WASN’T because I lift heavy. I struggled even BEFORE I started weight training and was a cardio bunny. My legs have always been “chunky”. I don’t train to make them bigger either. I simply follow a balanced training programme covering all fundamental movements. I lift heavy to chase intensity, the most effective way to burn fat. . As a bonus, my legs have become strong and curvy, and actually look better now than they ever did. . In some ways, maybe skinny jeans always looked good on me (how can it be that I feel good in skintight gym leggings but not skintight jeans?). Perhaps it was simply waiting for denim technology to improve. Perhaps more that I had to get used to my #MURVES, adapt and be open to finding new styles to fit my constantly evolving body shape. If I allowed society to influence me to have skinny legs, I would be stuck in a never-ending cycle of unhappiness. I would have to permanently undereat, and training would feel like punishment. I would have to do an unsustainable amount of exercise, in order to become something I was obviously not naturally. . The best thing you can do is to accept your body. Trust the process. All that can happen is you will become the best shape of YOU!

How are we all doing today? Personally, I am just loving the fact that seven months ago I was on the borderline of being medically morbidly obese...and today I LOOK LIKE THIS!!!! And, importantly, I FEEL AMAZING. I’m not God - I don’t get it right all the time - but I do know what I want and I always go all in. As with previous photos, I’m going to point out that my transformation still has quite a long way to go, but I am so proud of what I’ve achieved with the help of the utterly brilliant @becomingachampion so far ☺️☺️☺️. But, whatever anyone tells you, you cannot do something like this healthily without working HARD. I didn’t cheat at the #EasterWeekend because I know how important my goals are to me and I’m worth more than Easter eggs. I eat healthily and love it (swipe left for examples from @eatuplive), and I take my training seriously. I also have so much fun doing it and adore being with the guys at @upfitnesslondon. But, as I’ve said, only seven months ago, I was obese and had NO experience of weight training - NONE. I am living proof that if you have the right mindset and want it enough, anyone can become fitter and healthier. You just have to work out how much you matter and what you’re willing to ‘sacrifice’ to get what you want. As ever, thanks SO MUCH to Glenn, @heynickmitchell and @upfitnesslive for being with me all the way and never letting me settle for less!!! Muita dedicação, treino, estudo, ter a força para não desistir pois atrás de varias conquistas, existem varias derrotas, derrotas essas que só fortalecem para chegar ao lugar mais alto do podium. É um momento que envolve diversos sentimentos, vontade de ganhar, medo perder, simplesmente estar participando, raiva, alegria, stress, adrenalina, peso das pessoas que torcem por ti..... Quando se perde 15kg em em 3 meses a gente comemora sim. Posso ainda na não ter alcançado o corpo que quero, mas isso é só uma questão de tempo e perseverança.
