⁣⁣⁣⁣ Acne is a topic that I’ve been wanting to post and talk about for a while - God I am so nervous to post this, not the picture but the video when you swipe to see the next image. Since August 2018 I’ve been documenting my journey with acne, recording my skin, what I’m using and more importantly how I’m feeling. I’ve had acne on and off all throughout my teenage years so it’s nothing new but almost 2 years ago it came back severe. If you know me in real life you would know this, as 6/7 days a week I’m makeup free but it’s so easy to hide on Instagram, simply wear makeup and take a photo from afar.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ The video here is a trailer of a 50 minute video, a video that I’ve spent months editing and filming. I really want to express gratitude today for this journey! It’s so easy to want something soooo bad and when you finally have it start wishing for more! Day 195: I just wanted to give a close up of my skin and my scarring. A lot of you ask me if I have scars and what I do about them. I just allow accutane to do its thing and apply sunscreen every morning. In my adolescence I have always struggled with acne. I have tried everything, all sort of creams, oils, scrubs, antibiotics and nothing seemed to work. Acne affected me psychologically, there were days I did not want to leave the house because I was too ashamed. I was always afraid of what would people would think ok me. Honestly only lately I’ve learnt to accept myself with all my flaws. Even though I have been through really tough days, now I feel stronger and more secure. So never thought I’d say that but thank you acne, after all you haven’t been that bad.
