Sensory bags are an easy and mess-free way to introduce sensory play to your baby or toddler. Here's a simple spring inspired sensory bag that you can create right now! (If it’s spring where you live ) ••••• You'll need: a gallon ziplock bag, water, packing tape, flowers and leaves 1️⃣ Collect flowers and plants from outside or use fake ones (E loved going on a "flower hunt" to collect these) 2️⃣ Place the flowers inside a gallon ziplock bag and fill about 1/4 full with water 3️⃣ Remove as much air as possible and seal shut 4️⃣ Use packing tape to secure the bag closed and attach the bag to the floor or window (I like to fold one side of the tape in for easy removal) ••••• When the play is done, remove the contents inside and turn the bag inside out to dry and reuse! This activity should be supervised.

Freeze the penguins in an ice cube tray or shallow container for your child to reach, grab, and explore. 18M +: Focus on left to right progression. After your child explores. Use painter's tape or washi tape to create lines on the surface of a rimmed tray. Freeze the penguins inside an ice cube tray and practice skating each penguin to trace the lines from left to right. ••••• P.S. Don't forget to supervise and guide your child while they explore!

POSTING BOX I’ve been wanting to make one of these forever!! It took me a little while to collect the disposable wipe pouches. I almost cut the filled ones open but I was patient. You can totally make one of these boxes with just one wipes lid but if you’ve been following me for a while, you know I go all in. In fact, @play_at_home_mummy has a post on a posting box with just one lid . • YOU’LL NEED: -Wipe lids -Hot glue gun -Box that can be open and closed. -Knife -Colored masking tape or anything you want to color the lids. -Popsicle sticks to post. You can post anything! INSTRUCTIONS: 1️⃣Remove the lids from the wipes pouches 2️⃣Using the hot glue gun, glue the lid onto the center of the box. Repeat the same for all sides of the box. 3️⃣Open the lid and make a whole in the center of the box. Repeat for each side. 4️⃣Add colored masking tape to the top of the lid and also a piece on the inside of the lid. 5️⃣Place popsicle sticks next to the box and have your child place them in the right color slots or simply practice putting things in precisely (great for problem solving skills). You can post things like coins, puzzle pieces, pom poms, letters, numbers, etc. It’s really anything you want. Bubbles and toddlers go together like milk and cookies ! Our Rainbow Foam recipe is so easy and quick to create but there's so many ways to play! ••••• You'll need: tear-free soap or bubble bath, water, food coloring or liquid watercolor* 1️⃣ Combine a 2:1 ratio of water to tear-free soap or bubble bath in a blender or bowl (I used 1/8 cup water to 1 Tbsp soap) 2️⃣ Add a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolor, if desired 3️⃣ Blend on high or use a hand mixer until the mixture becomes thick not watery *Add more soap if your mixture is too watery *For the best results, Rainbow Foam should be used within 30 minutes of preparing ••••• Head to my stories ☝ to see E in action playing with foam and LEGOS! ••••• P.S. ✨DISCOVERY BAG A few weeks ago I shared a sensory bag that got us through those horrendous tummy time days and today I’m sharing the other. Not even the brightest toys would keep my girls attention long enough to get through a few minutes of tummy time like these bags. These are still loved by both my girls, 18 months and 4 years old. Watch till the end to see Nicky catch a hidden heart. • ♻️I keep these bags intact for a long time. Some of my bags are from when Nicky was a baby. Try to use strong bags to avoid tares or reusable bags are great for this .
