Mama, it’s all about taking that first step. This is NOT a 6 week transformation. This is a product of me FINALLY taking my first step to a better ME
.
.
.
My first step was registering. Then I figured it all out from there. I took it one day at a time, and made small, CONSISTENT steps that added up
.
.
.
It doesn’t have to be drastic. It doesn’t have to be overwhelming. It doesn’t have to be the perfect time. You just have to be willing to take that first step

Having a baby changes your body with loose skin & stretch marks but more importantly it changes your life. Its easy to focus on these things as you grow to grow a child. Nobody is unscathed from pregnancy. I took this photo for my upcoming postpartum plan. I’m not going to pretend it’s extreme but when I sit you can see my loose skin at the bottom of my stomach♀️ & I am flexing. I’ve posted pictures before leaning forward showing lose skin but as you can see in the photo it’s there when I just sit too! There’s nothing I can do about it as I have had 4 kids and my core has stretch to the max for them including a set of twins. I may not get stretch marks on my stomach but I do get more & more stretch marks on my thighs, hips and booty every pregnancy.
❤️
Now can we just label these things as normal and focus on what changed our lives more... that precious baby. When you are discouraged I want you to think about your child’s laugh, think about how excited you get when they learn something new for the first time. Think about a good memory with them. Would you ever want your child to think about his/herself the way you think about yourself sometimes? It breaks your heart right? Think about the deep love our Father in Heaven has for you and the trust he had placed in you to care for your precious baby. It’s a miracle the way women conceive and have children in the first place.
❤️
Raise your head with pride because you, my friend, have a power that is beyond any story stretch marks and loose skin can tell about you. Stop comparing, we aren’t all the same and when you feel down focus on what you DO have! I bet you would NEVER trade back your baby for your “pre baby” body because in the end you know you got the better end of the deal with having your amazingly cute child of God. Your individual worth is unmeasurable. So love yourself Mamas and give yourself a pat on the back for being such a Bad A. Happy Friday! 5 months post babe here and I am counting down the days until my postpartum course is done! Client pics @dfh.training.pics
Too many times I decided to hate what my body had become. It wasn’t that I didn’t appreciate the ability to carry and birth a life... it was my expectations of the body I was suppose to have after it all. .
.
I have battled with confidence since becoming a mom. And for years I decided to hate my body until I got my”body back” instead of showing myself love, grace, and appreciation through the process. .
.
I didn’t have it in me to push myself any lower this time around. After struggling with anxiety and depression in pregnancy I needed to give myself grace. I needed to show myself love. .
.
So rather than hating what your body has become. Show yourself some love. Throw the worlds expectations of postpartum out the window and embrace your own postpartum journey. This is where we find how to be more confident in ourselves. This is where we find the strength to look in the mirror and smile at the women staring back. .
.
Embrace your body. Embrace your postpartum

A little something for the mamas out there who have had kids or are about to
There’s sooo much information out there about pregnancy & birth but sadly not enough info regarding what you should and shouldn’t be doing to care for your body after birth.
Everyone has an abdominal gap (Diastasis Recti) after birth but myself in particular had a really bad one. After London it went undetected until I got pregnant with River! I would do prone holds, push ups, mountain climbers etc and saw that my stomach coned out in a triangle shape. Mums who have had bubs will know what I mean here. I thought it was normal after having a baby but I assure you now that it is NOT
This time round I’m starting from square one and having a good go at healing this injury, yes it is an injury.
I know these exercises look VERY basic and easy (I myself struggle with this part because I’m someone who loves to leap into the crazy) but to get back to doing what I want again, this is where I have to start. And may I say, it’s actually a lot harder than it looks!
The most important part in these videos is keeping core engaged the whole time. When you see a ❌ you will notice my back arch, stomach bulges and my movements are not controlled. This is not working the core but putting unnecessary strain on our backs.
One thing I have learned is to stay AWAY from front loaded exercises, eg. Push ups, prone holds, mountain climbers etc. Instead, in this scenario, grab some free weights and do some flys on your back (core engaged) to activate the chest.
Start with these exercises, 10 each exercise. On the holds, hold for 3 seconds and then release. Really focus on posture and squeezing your abdominals tight while doing these exercises.
10mins out of our day is not much in the scheme of things. Our core is the centre for everything we do, particularly picking up heavy toddlers, give it a go! ♥️
