With one tiny small hole it would be a shame to discard the soft wool that still has plenty of life. A little stitching and needle felting later...camomile flowers emerge! #todaysknitoutfit is my #curvotop by @sachikobee This is the only time I've knit a sweater that became a dress and it wasn't on purpose This is okay because I really love it as a tunic/dress! With my Curvo I'm wearing a floral patterned bandana I bought at a flea market in Riga, Latvia, and a leather belt from @gap, with dusty rose tights and grey leather boots I bought in Prague. With the other outfit with my Curvo, I'm wearing it with a striped button up shirt from @monki, a grey secondhand bought beret, a secondhand bought brooch, and the same leather boots. I love my Curvo so much!! #todaysknitoutfit was actually taken a couple weeks back. I wanted to post it on my wedding anniversary, since the sweater was knit special for last year's anniversary, but ooopsy I forgot! This sweater is #kazahanasweater by @eritml and it's knit up in a exquisitely soft 50/50 merino alpaca yarn. I bought a huge cone of the yarn from World of Wool. The first outfit I'm wearing a grey secondhand bought wool beret, a @lindy_bop Egyptian cat print circle skirt, and secondhand bought Spanish leather loafers. The shawl is my yet to be published "Apiary Shawl" In the second sample yarn: @isageryarn #silkmohair and @madelinetosh #merinowool. The last outfit is kinda personal, so slap me if these common tales of woe are getting egregious! In this outfit I am wearing with my Kazahana a linen dress I bought in a small boutique in Hereford and secondhand bought canvas mary janes. This was what I wore for last year's wedding anniversary party, with all our friends and family in attendance. It's been a long and difficult road for our love story, so we wanted to make our 5 year (6 years being together) wedding anniversary so special! Before we were even married for 2 months, Danish immigration denied my family reunification and sent me back to FL for 3 months. It was so hard to be parted from my husband, and made more difficult because I had to stay with my parents and my mother has a lot of mental issues and takes her frustration out on those around her. She really didn't want me there, but I was at her mercy for 3 months nonetheless. It was a hard upward climb from poverty living and building our lives together in Sweden, but slowly we have been making a good and loving life together. #todaysknitoutfit is a tunic/dress knit from glittery mohair my in-laws gifted me a couple holidays ago and leftover neon mohair from a previous project. I kinda just winged it and made it up as I went along; no design sketch was made. I really like it for it loud and cosy appearance, though, my husband thinks the stripes make it look "sporty". I call it "Wisp" because it's like wearing a bright, weird, and cosy cloud around my body ☁☁☁ with it I'm wearing a banana that was secondhand bought back in FL, my neon orange leather flats from @gap (forget picture them), and the earrings my husband (then boyfriend) bought be when he was visiting me in Florida from Denmark. When we were dating, we used to fly about ever 3 months to visit each other for about 2 weeks at a time: him to FL and me to DK, and repeat. We loved carefully assembling care-packages for each other, filled with treats and goodies. These earrings, though, he bought for me while in FL.
