I’ve been waiting to make this announcement and THE TIME IS HERE!!! I jumped headfirst into the fitness community last year and I’ve heard the same thing from others over and over again... “I wish I could dance, but I don’t know how...” or “I would never set foot in a dance class but I wish I could!” YOUR TIME HAS COME!
Last fall, after a barre class at @xtendprestonhollow, Shannon approached me and asked if I would be interested in teaching an open level workshop for anyone and everyone interested in dance. I sat on it for a few months, feeling intimidated and unsure of myself. I realized that I was putting off a dream because of insecurity, which is EXACTLY how people feel going into a new activity and... you guessed it... a dance class!!! I want to share my love of dance with all of you... especially those of you who say you WISH you could dance.
I’ll be teaching a six week series at @xtendprestonhollow starting next week!!! OPEN LEVEL... beginners welcome and encouraged!!! Thursdays at 8. As my boy @johnmayer says ✨—“we keep waiting on the world to change” but it’s not going to change unless WE CHANGE IT! Start with you & start changing your world.
Today I coached three classes at the studio that changed the entire trajectory of my life. The studio that jumpstarted this adventure. This clarity. This purpose. And if the coach I am today could say anything to the coach I was back then, it would go a little something like this:

“Get ready to be uncomfortable. For this will not be an easy ride. At first you’ll feel out of place. You’ll feel like a fraud. Lost and confused. You’ll doubt yourself more times than you can count. And you won’t immediately understand your impact. You’ll be blind to the big picture but I promise, when you stick it out, when you choose to continue down this path, choose to sharpen your God given talent, you’ll come into your own. You’ll come into your own in a way like never before. You’ll be exposed to the utmost authentic version of you and finally live out each day for the betterment of others. Something you’ve always known you were meant for, something that always tugged at your heart, but something you didn’t know where to start.

You’ll never forget the truth that was spoken into you at this studio. You’ll never step foot into another coaching role or another fitness studio without thinking of their passion. Their passion for this industry but ultimately their passion for you. You won’t trust it to start. You’ll want to shrug it off and walk away. For in the beginning, you’ll lack a certainty in yourself. A necessary confidence. An imperative conviction. But as you push through the discomfort of coaching, of bringing every inch of you to the surface, to be susceptible, you’ll start to realize just how important their words and their steadfast desire to get you behind a mic and into that room was for your development. For your headway. Not only as a coach, but as a human being. So give them a break as they continue to push you forward without your buy in.

You are more than what you allow yourself to be. More than what you pretend to be. Yet you’ve always known that. You’ve always felt different. Uncommon. Coaching will just reveal that to you. It will help you recover the version of you that you’ve accidentally hidden. A version you’ve known you were always meant to be.”
