COUNTING CALORIES?! .
happy Thursday, just one day to the weekend yaaay I’m 100% back to my training and eating routine after my holidays and never felt better. Training wise I’m halfway of week 2 of @kelseywells #pwrprogram 3.0 and I’m loving every workout as always. For what concerns my “diet”, it consists of balanced, nutritional meals, trying to include all the macronutrients (carbs, protein, fats) and micronutrients (fruits/vegs). At the moment I’m eating intuitively, without counting macros and, since I know my body, I really feel it is working amazingly for me. This being said, I believe counting macros can be a very useful means to understand how much and what to eat and it helped me a lot, together with other information about nutrition, to identify what my body likes and needs. Lately I counted macros whenever I want to change something in my diet. For example, I counted macros at the beginning of this year because I wanted to increase my calorie intake from 1800 to 2300 kcal (give me all the food) and, now that I have a solid idea of my portion sizes, I am simply listening to my body and eating accordingly.
