Countdown Body Weight Workout! Guys, @goldeliteapparel was kind enough to let me try out this outfit and I can’t tell you how pleasantly surprised I was when I put it on. The leggings are made out of the most amazingly comfortable, buttery soft material I’ve ever felt! These are the kind of pants you what to live all day in. They stayed in place even with all the crazy jumping around in this workout, which is number one importance for me! You should definitely go check them out, like right now...I mean after you watch the workout. *Ok, now for the workout. I did 3 rounds of this. It took me about 7 min to complete each round. You can do as many rounds as you want, just start with 1 if that’s all you can do. . •50(25 each side) lunge push off with under leg clap. You can modify by just barely pushing off or keeping feet on the ground for stationary lunges. . •40 Bear Butt Kickers (my knees are not touching the ground at all) modify by switching off kicking with each leg like a run. Inspired @trainerkaitlin . •30 squat jumps with alternating floor tap. Modify by keeping feet on floor and omitting the jump. . •20 butterfly leg toe touches . •10 divebombers. Don’t scoop back just go back into down down dog to modify. You can make easier by not scooping down as low when you go forward as well. Keep elbows facing back. . . . . Outfit @goldeliteapparel . Are abs really made in the kitchen . . Whilst it would be lovely to believe that eating your veggies will magically make a six pack appear, that’s just not quite how our bodies work! There’s a lot of confusion and misleading info out there when it comes to how to build abs. So, let’s clear it up now! . . Our abdominal muscles are just like every other muscle in your body, so you should train them the same way you would train, say, your shoulders or your biceps etc. You can target your abs and core with resistance training which helps sculpt/build the muscles in that area. However, we cannot spot reduce weight (aka lose weight from an area just because we’re working it)- So ‘IF’ you carry extra weight around your mid section, those abs you’re working won’t be visible because they are hiding under a beautiful layer of fat . Well how the hell do you get that washboard stomach then? You combine cardio (my preference is HIIT training) which burns fat, maintains muscle, and helps you to be leaner overall- Combined with resistance to sculpt the desired area- and of course eating nutritiously more often than not which also contributes to keeping you leaner- and just as importantly, keeps you healthy. So there you have it- Abs, like any muscle, are made in the gym and in the kitchen! . Featured here’s is one of me personal core workouts. Feel free to give each movement a try- Aim for 14 to 20 reps of each exercise (both sides). This is an advanced workout- I have range of Ab workouts for beginners on my page. . .
