Hi I’m Kimberly I’ve been pretty inactive here on the gram for a while. This is our last summer in Alaska before we make the big move to unknown territory, so we’ve been cramming our days full of ALL THE THINGS. I’ve been loving our time here in AK this summer, but I’m anxious to get this move over with, see all of the places on our bucket list, settle down in our new home + get back to a “normal” routine with my little family. I’ve asked before, but if you’ve made the drive through Canada, or live there, please share ALL your fav spots to hike, sight see, eat, grab coffee, take pictures, kayak, etc. We’ve never been & we want to see all the things! Just a little under a month until we make the big move! Also, it’s almost Friday folks.

This girl has started adding “love you” after saying “bye,” which is super cute but a little more awkward when she says “bye, love you!” to random people we pass by on the street or next to us in line at the grocery store . Even if it’s awkward it’s so sweet to see how she makes people smile and laugh, even if they looked serious before, she really brings so much joy to everyone around her!

Three little Magees jumping on the bed... . . We got our @purple mattress today! We opted for a King, but loved our bed frame so much that we stayed with the same style. It was time to go bigger after waking up to stage five clingers day after day. We've kept Peggy alive for 6 weeks! It sounds so stupid to say but I didn't think we'd get there, I'm proud that I'm still breastfeeding after all of the struggles (50% of women stop before the 6 week milestone). It's still not easy but I feel like I can handle it better now. I get so many lovely messages each day asking how we are which I so appreciate. The truth is that things are hard but Simon and I are a lot more confident and we try to be as calm and sensible as possible. Last night Peggy wanted feeding from 8:15pm-10:30pm, then again from 2am-5am, oh boy. - She's definitely feeding and then sucking for comfort but she cries so much when I take her off so I end up giving in and letting her feed again - for hours! I'm really not sure if thats the right thing to do. She's also fighting daytime naps, the world is just too fun and interesting. I've resorted to feeding or rocking her in my arms until she's asleep in the day just so I know she's getting enough rest. Again, that's probably not a good idea as I'll be forming habits and attachment issues but it's all I can do right now. She's very cuddly and definitely needs lots of time in our arms so for now I have to just say f it, let her be cuddled at every opportunity. - Parenthood is 50% questioning everything you're doing and 50% total belief that you're doing whats best!
