An irritated pudendal nerve can be the bane of one's existence. It can cause severe pain to the groin and genital areas. Most of the time it is treated by pelvic floor work or intravaginally or intra-anally. If this does not work, consider the pathway of the pudendal nerve over the sacrospinous ligament and under the sacrotuberous ligament. If it were to get impinged in that area, the pain could be felt elsewhere. In NKT Level 3 we have a protocol for resolving imbalances in the ligaments via their mechanoreceptors. Healing Times

One of the most common issues I encounter when helping people recover from an injury or from surgery is of the healing times of various tissues. Everyone wants to be better NOW, but this isn't realistic. Tissue healing takes TIME. We can't rush it. And it's important to understand that tissues heal at different rates depending on their physical makeup and blood supply, among other things. Additional contributing factors, such as diabetes, age, poor nutrition, inadequate rest, etc can further delay the healing process.

This chart shows the AVERAGE range of healing times for various tissues in the body, including different grades of tissue injury for muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It can serve not only as a guide but also a reminder that we can't force our bodies to heal faster than physiologically possible. What we can do is OPTIMIZE the healing process by rehabbing appropriately, eating high quality food, getting adequate rest, and staying PATIENT and POSITIVE throughout the journey.

I always tell to my students that it is important to stretch for at least one minute no stop, so that your muscles and ligaments can adapt to tension. Another important aspect to consider is that you must never feel too much pain during stretching time, otherwise your muscles and ligaments will suffer and, as a reaction, they will not stretch properly and they'll become stiff! So...keep calm! Breathe and feel your tissues stretch consciously and slowly...in that way you will surely improve! .

People come to see me a lot for sacroiliac joint (SIJ) dysfunction. It hurts to bend, twist, sit, stand, etc. It can happen from twisting and lifting, sitting too long, lifting something too heavy, etc. There are many muscles that support the SIJ anteriorly and posteriorly, including the psoas and glutes. If either for both of those become neurologically under active, the SIJ will compress itself to compensate for that loss of stability. In NKT we not only treat the muscle imbalances, but also compressed joints and neurologically over active ligaments (via their mechanoreceptors).
