Our puffy paint spatula splat! Say that three times fast! Messy art at its finest with this one. This afternoon while the boys napped I made some diy puffy paint. To do this I mixed about a tablespoon of pva glue with about half a cup of shaving foam with some food colouring for colour. I then dropped blobs of each colour all over a large strip of paper and gave the boys a spatula each. This is where the fun really happened. They had the best time smacking the paint with a big splat. It made such a pretty effect all over the paper. I will add though this is definitely not a mess free activity. Lawrence's splats spread the paint far and wide all over the kitchen floor and cabinets ‍♀️! As the paint has tried it has left a beautiful raised puffy texture on the page! . . Good morning all! Thanks to all of you waiting on a tuff tray for your patience. The last update I received from my supplier was that they are due to arrive on Aussie soil at the end of the month and then they usually take a couple of days to reach me. Once they have arrived they will be shipped out in daily batches according to order of purchase. I will let you know if any delays arise over the next week or two - obviously I have no control over transport delays and this is why I stress in the product description that we cannot guarantee a delivery date - because these trays come all the way from the UK and can and do often get delayed in transit. Sensory Beehive . . Using popsicle sticks that I cut up and stuck together to create hexagons. I then painted them yellow and glued them on to the top of glass jars. We created this sensory honeycomb for the children to explore . I added coloured water, popcorn kernels , coloured rice , grapat beehives and yellow Pom poms to replicate honey. The children used the scoops and their pincer grips to transport the rice and other loose parts in to the jars. They used the syringes to squirt the yellow water in through the tops of the hexagons . . ❄️ MELTING ICE CAPS ❄️ // When is it too early to introduce toddlers to the problem of climate change? Perhaps a 2 and 3 year old aren’t ready ‍♀️, but, you know what? I did it anyway! Swipe ↔️ to see the boys at play. - Ice blocks and shaving cream in lightly blue colored water created the scene. And after several minutes of play, without me even saying a word, the boys alerted me to the fact that the ice was melting. Something they were not happy about! This simple observation lead to a big discussion about pollution, global warming, and its consequences for the mamma and baby polar bears they were lovingly playing with. Did they understand every word I was saying? No. And that’s totally okay. D I G G E R L A N D . . We have some digger fans here at little munchkins. Going with their interests I set up this diggerland with a few extra sensory areas. I added tyres, soil , sand and water. I used our @tts_earlyyears pan to create a water area for the children . I added sand and soil to our tyres, joining them together with planks of wood. I used washi road tape as well as our @waytoplaytoys road tracks. We added lots of diggers.
